Flamingos Hotel

Great Value and Excellent Staff We had a great stay at Flamingos. Our apartment was clean, spacious and we had plenty of room. Some parts of the venue are a little tired and the bathroom could do with some refurbishment but overall, for the price, we were very happy. We arrived late after the reception had closed but the hotel staff made sure we knew how to access our apartment. The beaches are just a few minutes walk away and there is a small shop nearby too. The town is a short taxi ride away

We chose this hotel for its closeness to Chania town and because they have family rooms (ours was a 4 bed appartment). It is located about 15 min from town of Chania with the local bus. My 8-year old daughter was very pleasantly suprised, that we were going to stay in our own "llitle house", village style room. They are furnished in cretan traditional style and we also had a seperate bedroom, small kitchen with fridge and a dining table, plus a small terrace on the top of the stairs (some stairs to climb with a suitcase with no elevator or porter however). There are also 2 airconditioning devices in our appartment (bedroom and main area). They serve only breakfast (vegetables, fruit, egg omelets, bacon, delicious homemade cakes and croisssants) , which was perfect for us, we like to dine in different restaurants during our holiday. There is also big Lidl market and a greek supermarket Synka close (about 10 minutes walk from the hotel) in the Agioi Apostoloi area, if you want to cook for yourself. The hotel is situated near 2 sandy beaches, walking distance and one a bit further down the road. We were very satisfied with the service and we would stay here again.

Struttura un po' isolata rispetto alla città di Chania ma comodamente raggiungibile in auto. Personale gentilissimo, colazione sufficiente ma da migliorare.

Flamingos apartment complex is close to the beach, a short walk to a bus stop to take you to Chania, 15 minutes walk away from two supermarkets and there are plenty of restaurants nearby too. The complex is thoughtfully designed and kept beautifully. Every morning a team of ladies would be sweeping and cleaning the paths. Our apartment was looked after by a lovely lady called Louisa. The sheets and towels were changed every few days and the apartment cleaned everyday. We had an apartment with a beautiful terrace that we spent as much time on as we could - it was quiet and breezy and had fantastic views of the sea and the White Mountains. Our apartment was large and the beds were comfortable. The staff were brilliant at Flamingos - always happy to help.

Excellent hotel to lay back and relax. Outstanding staff, great rooms ( showers could be better). Great location for the beach, couple of local tavernas, and the dotty train ( highly recommended) Only drawback is the pool opening times. Opens far too late and closes far too early. That aside, if you are looking for somewhere quiet, relaxed and out of the way, this is the place to visit.

I don’t think that we could have had a better hotel. If you stay here, you definitely get your money’s worth. The hotel is just the perfect size. There was a feeling of a real holiday but the hotel never felt crowded, even though it was booked full. The location was also perfect. Maybe 20 minutes from Chaniá by bus. So you can go shopping every day if you wish. Or visit thr beautiful old town of Chaniá. There were 3 beaches within a walking distance from the hotel so you can rotate those also if you please. The hotel staff was also extremely kind. Everyone always greeted us with a smile. The owner (Antonia if I remember correctly) was especially kind to us and even helped me with sending a postcard back home. The day we had to leave, we had to give up the room at 11 am if I remember correctly, and our flight left at 5 pm. So we were wondering what to do with the time between, and it was Antonia who suggested that we can leave our luggage at the hotel, still go and enjoy the beach one more time, then come back and take a shower in the hotels communal showers. They even gave us shampoo and towels. That was a perfect last day solution, so thank you for that too! The room we stayed in was great. The air conditiong worked like wonder. The toilet was just big enough. The shower cubicle was a bit on the smaller side, but that was to be expected. Big enough to take a shower, and that’s all that matters. The breakfast was also great. Not the biggest spread but enough to get your day going, and everything they offered was delicious. There were also many good restaurants very near to the hotel. I want to give a special mention to artemis restaurant. A restaurant that was in the pool area of another nearby hotel. The food there was to die for. As well as the service. We will definitely go back to this hotel if we are ever back to Agii Apostoli.
