The hotel seems to have been recently decorated- albeit kept in the Venetian carnival style- and offers relatively large rooms and comfortable sitting area (at least in some rooms). There is a very effective air condition, and a quiet atmosphere during the night. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me warmly upon arrival. The location is 30 minutes walk from the Jasna Góra Monastery, but it is through the city and mostly flat so it was no bother to me. The sleeping quality is however a bit so-and-so, the beds are very uncomfortable and the pillows give no support what so ever. I did not arrive by car, but the parking space seemed very narrow and I would not like to struggle my car into the tight space. But what I disliked most about the hotel was actually the breakfast, I didn`t expect anything special but was met by empty bread baskets and cold cut trays which was not refilled at all even though breakfast should have been available 1 additional hour. There was a frying pan, butter and ham set up, assumingly for cooking scrambled eggs or omelets, but this service was not offered. Finally I suspect that the neighborhood was not the best, there were many people around which seemed to be homeless/alcoholics, and I was stopped outside the hotel entrance by a man speaking in broken Polish- presumably wanting money. His eyes were wild and I did not feel safe. But compared to other hotels in the area it is reasonably cheap, and it was ok for a day or two.
