NO HEAT. Did go to office to report as there was no in-room phone. Person in attendance came to see unit. He couldn’t get it going. Regular managers were shopping, and he would let them know so they could help. It was after 9 PM, we were cold and tired from driving a distance, so we asked for blankets, as there were none in room, until issue could be resolved. We were given two VERY WORN blankets and waited for assistance. And waited. And waited. 10:30PM and no one came. We were snuggled on the “bouncy,” uncomfortable bed, under the blankets using body heat to be relatively warm. It was February in the mountains; temperature in the mid-30’s. After shivering for several hours, sleep came due to exhaustion. At dawn’s early light, we quickly dressed in our jeans, sweatshirts, and warm clothes. Got in our car and fled. At least our car had HEAT. As an extension: 7 days after our experience, I am nursing a fever, cough, headache, runny nose, and sore throat. It cost us $91 and a night at the Cumberland Gap Inn to get it. P.S. Tested negative for COVID. YAY!!!
