Sleep Inn & Suites Cullman I-65 Exit 310

DO NOT BOOK. Switched rooms because of stained sheets, broken door, only to get more stained sheets. Family staying in other rooms, stained sheets, visible mold on ceiling, mildew smells, humid/hot hallways, sheets did smell of just bleach and it was strong so that was a comfort and a headache. Just go somewhere else, this place isn’t for families. It’s the lowest grade hotel I’ve ever stayed in, I’d give it 0 stars if possible.

When we checked in on night 1 and requested a second night, a new reservation had to be made for night 2. We were given a great room rate for night 2 with sr discount of 105/nt, so I brought my Sr.mother to the desk to give her security card for the reservation...3 Minutes passed . Ashley at the desk now says a higher rate, $115/nt higher than when we committed 3 mins prior. I didn't argue, and gave our credit card for security AND made the reservation. She gave no rate form to sign, and we were told to officially check in later that night because it was a new reservation. **Upon official check in at 8 pm, they RAISED the rate again to 130/nt!!!! and said there's nothing they can do , this is the best they can offer . I said. " Wait...when we reserved the room you said 105/nt with Sr discount. Upon coming back in, 3 minutes later with luggage , I was then told the rate JUST went up to 115. We even gave the credit card and made the official reservation at the $115 rate . Given no paper to sign, only gave the cc and made the reservation. We did our activities And now that we are checking in for the brand new night 2 reservation at $115, I'm now given the room rate form to sign ...at $130!!! ". What is happening right now?? ". The desk clerk called Ashley who said $130 is the best they could do. So I'm Mind blown at this point after being told I could HAVE the room for a second night / new reservation for 105 upon first walking in, then 115 after parking and bringing in luggage, and then $130 when signing the form for night 2, And told " that's the best we can do". We had just stayed for night 1, so all our things were in the room, so I signed the rate form at 130 and asked who would see this form. I was told the owner would see it. Perfect , so I wrote my experience down of not being happy and signed it . And would just take my anger to every online review that existed. For this room for two nights , - the smell upon entering was horrible, like a cleaning fragrance that knocked us over - only half roll of toilet paper with no repl. - about 70 percent of the ceiling was brown water stained - we gave our towels to be cleaned and was replaced with no washcloths - bad stains on the carpet floor - no conditioner , only shampoo / lotion - the door had a gap of light around it that let light in at night - pillow cases were different shades of white , like some bleached clean and others didn't - the pillows were the little half size ones , 3 to a bed . Upon final check out, we were given a NEW rate form of 115.00 and told that it will be adjusted to this. Exhausting for this experience and not worth the trouble, the smell, the discomfort . Will never stay or recommend again

We had the very warmest of welcomes from the lovely Carol. She is a great lady who made us so welcome is was as good as walking through the door at home. Very nice spacious clean room and a well tended pool area which we enjoyed. Carol gave me lots of info on where to enjoy the afternoon with my Son as we were on a one night stopover on the way back to England. I’ll definitely return for a longer stay with the whole family in the near future and very much hope to see Carol for a good chat!! Lots of food options within walking distance and plenty of free parking. A beautiful town with plenty to keep the little ones occupied. This time it was a stopover on the drive from New Orleans to Nashville, but next time we will stop for longer. The staff and hotel surpassed my expectations hugely. Breakfast was very nice with loads of options. The waffle maker was great fun - being a Brit it was a good novelty for me!!

Hotel was very noisy, you could hear people walking upstairs and hear people outside. Did not get a good sleep. Toilet did not flush properly. Safety door latch was broken. Did not have tissues which tells you how cheap this place is. Lobby was clean is the only positive.

The hotel allows pets for a $30 per pet fee. My dogs bark. The hotel owner/manager called me while we were at the Strawberry festival and complained that they were barking. I told her if she would give me a full refund we would leave. She refused. She said there was a Christian men's conference going on across from our room. Why in the world she placed us with two poodles in a room across from a conference is beyond comprehension. I will never go to a Sleep Inn again.

I am disabled and require a service dog. At registration we were told we could not bring her in. The lady at check in ask me what my disability was. I told her it was against federal law to ask me that. I relented and told her I had PTSD . Then she mocked me saying that she had ptsd and whatever but she didn't have service dog. She humiliated me. I told her was violated federal and Alabama laws. She and her manager/owner told me that PTSD was not a disability and all I had was am emotional dog. My dog senses possible seizures and blacks uncluding disabilitztong panic. As I was leave she called out that they had a cancellallation and we checked in. When checking out he charged us $25 pet fee. This is a horrible place with horrible discriminating staff I intend to file a complaint with the ADA Terrible management

We had to make last minute changes to our travel plans because of bad weather. We did not plan to stay in this area so arrived later than we normally would after a long drive to avoid freezing rain. Hotels in the area were full but Sleep Inn had a couple of "suites" left. We cringed at the price of $160 (plus tax) but felt we had limited options so took it. You call this a suite?? Old, tired furniture, sorry looking couch that smelled like it had been over-sprayed with deodorizer - in fact, the the entire room smelled of deodorizer. The hotel entire hotel needed a good cleaning. I had a chance to log-in to my Choice Hotels app and found I could get the same type room for a lot less using a combination of points and cash so we went back to the front desk and asked for a different room. We were given a room with two beds. It was somewhat better than the other room. One of the best things about the hotel was the desk clerk, Carol. She was so patient and helped us work through refunding our initial charge and handling the new res I made with the app. The breakfast room is tiny with limited options. This hotel is very tired and needs a makeover.

Shouldn’t be operating during construction fiasco. The fire alarm going off was ridiculous and deafening!!!! We couldn’t take our hands off our ears, it was so painfully loud! The fact that they had to move us 3 time due to beds not made, TV not working, etc, is unacceptable. Certainly NOT worth over $100. I’m asking for partial refund! The lady at the front desk was wonderful and I felt bad for her… she was so embarrassed

This particular Sleep Inn is the first we have used. It was chosen because our preferred hotel was booked. The reviews "appeared" to be acceptable. However, this is actually the very worst hotel experience we have ever had. The sink would not drain water - a piece of furniture trim fell off onto the floor with no reason other than it had been attached with carpet tape - the bathroom tissue holder fell off the wall - the cleanliness was marginal - the "free breakfast" was packaged, unknow sweets - the shower was constructed like an RV shower. When we voiced concern and asked for a comment card, we were told Comment Cards were not an option - that the desk clerk would make note and that they did not have a maintenance person to make repairs - they had a "fixer" who tries to keep things working. When we "joined" Choice Hotels Rewards Program because that was the only means of giving feedback, their website stated that feedback could only be shared "IF" we received an email following our stay inviting feedback - we did not. We paid $153 for a terrible experience. On our travel back we stayed over in the same city in our preferred hotel and paid $40 less for a lovely experience. Will never try Sleep Inn again.
