We are regular guests at this hotel for many years - weekends, long sommer vacation, winter time, new year... For example this weekend was our 4th visit to hotel this year. But ...unfortunately this time was there the worst experience ! Adriatic hotel in this days is simply not in Kempinski standards anymore, actually long way from that. Hotel have except nice building and sea more or less nothing else common with 5 star level. First big problem they are completely understaffed. If there is really problems as they told us with work permits from official Zagreb government whay owner - Belgrade private company - not decide to close temporarily other Kempinski hotel in Portorož ( or vice versa) and unite workers in one hotel. Because i our opinion in this conditions Adriatic should be closed. We dont find at Kempinski Adriatic for many last years that they have really professionall general manager. As see a lot of top senior managers in the past years resigned, leave the hotel last because of bad situation. So through our eyes last weekend at this hotel: - because of not enough staff you wait at beakfast for coffe and extra orders at least 15 - 20 minutes, some day we even dont get it, must order again - nobody clean plates from table - some new young waiters are very rude and unprofessional - start of sommer season, outside 30 degres and closed pool bar and also beach bar ! So you must walk alone from beach or pool to hotel bar for drink. Nobody clean glasses and food plates ( sea photo above) and they are not made of plastic suitable for safety reasons - near outdoor pool is rules information board ( sea photo above) but because there is no pool guy a lot od guests dont care - jumping, ball playing, underwater swiming etc . You cant normal swimm at that conditions. More jugle than serious 5 star hotel pool - similar situation when you seat at main bar ( outside or inside hotel). You wait long minutes to be served - if you want from room call Front desk more than 10 minutes - reception - again too few people at desk - no answer - and month ago, for example, we stay at hotel for New year, there was 60 % saunas not working and nobody really care Kempinski chain management know all this ? Whay no reaction ? We stay some days ago in Berchtesgaden Kempinski - comparing with Adriatic is not another hotel its another world - talking about 5 star standards. And - is there anybody thinking abot people, staff who is working at Hotel now ? - they will burn out! As guests normal we have no voice to owners decision, no voice to hotel managment decision but services at this time at Kempinski Adriatic Savudrija Croatia is far away from 5 stars and if they dont total change staff situatin ( and also some other things comparing with other Kempinski hotels) we will after 16 years concluded our Adriatic visiting and tell all our friends aroud Europe to do tha same. Pitty.
