Premier Inn Stafford North (Hurricane)

Travelled down from Edinburgh to stay for 2 nights as we were visiting Alton Towers. Pleasant stay and location was ideal for our needs. Paula was a star when it came to breakfast. Very attentive and friendly and even had a little present for the kids as it was Easter.

Hands down the worst hotel staff member I've ever had to deal with. Unprofessional, rude and offensive when dealing with legitimate customer issues. Staff member conduct so poor that we genuinely tried to find another hotel but at 10pm on a bank holiday weekend with a 9 month old in tow there were no alternatives. Imagine an exchange with one staff member so incredibly hostile in front of our child and others in reception that I'm considering getting a solicitor involved.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. It felt like I was in a different world with all the care and help we received by everyone working there. Car parking was easily accessible and don't forget to input your reg number upon arrival. The pub serves the best pork belly bits I've ever, ever had.

I regularly stay at this hotel when travelling back to Wiltshire from visiting my elderly Mother in Lancashire (it's about half way to home). The hotel is great, I have no problem with the (usual) Premier Inn high standards of their rooms, and the staff are all really helpful. The problem with this visit was that (just like I did last year - when will I learn?) it was on the same weekend as the Stafford Bike Show. This meant the room prices were far more expensive than normal - I actually have no issues with that, Premier Inn are a business, and are profiting from the local bike event, it's how business works! The thing that spoiled the visit for me was that the tiny breakfast room was heaving with bodies (Tom the restaurant manager was superb in finding a table for us when we were earlier than anticipated). It was definitely NOT a relaxed breakfast! The problem stems from the original design of this unit - such a small breakfast room for such a large hotel - WHY? If and when I go up next year I must remember not to book in here, I must find another PI away from Stafford...

Lovely room, everything was clean and really comfy bed! Had the best PI breakfast I’ve had! There was only Paula cooking and Darnell serving and washing up, but they were so friendly and helpful. It was so busy and they were amazing! They need a pay rise! Would definitely come back!

Stayed just for one night on 03/04/25 with my wife and daughter. Location- Just off a busy road and close to M6. The town centre I would say is around 2 miles away. Room- the room was clean and had everything you could need. Room probably could do with some updating, not as nice as some of the other premier inns I have stayed in previously. We asked for a cot which was included but this was not made up and had no mattress. The cot was also too small for my daughter who is 22 months. We asked at the reception but there was no other cot size we were told. The other premier inns we have stayed in do have bigger cot sizes so could not understand this. Luckily, we had our own travel cot with us so had to use this instead. We were allocated room 214 which was looking at the back of the hotel, looking onto the busy road. I wouldn’t say we had a relaxing sleep as the road is loud and there are plenty of sirens going past through the night. Sadly, probably wouldn’t stay again.
