Premier Inn Newcastle Gosforth/Cramlington

We stayed here with my elderly mum a few weeks back - got checked in by a lovely lady and the Premier Plus rooms were very good ( they have been newly renovated so currently are looking their best ) - breakfast was good too with a very friendly lady in charge who made sure we all had what we needed and she genuinely seemed to care about everything she was doing which is always a plus - restaurant next door is no longer a Beefeater which is a shame and their menu was decidedly uninspiring so we walked a short way down the road to Willow Farm and had a lovely meal - would definitely stay here again as it was handy for Newcastle racecourse

We stayed in July 2025. We have stayed here many times, but the first time since the breakfast room has been opened. The hotel is on a very busy roundabout, so be prepared, but that roundabout takes you to everywhere you'd want to visit, the beach, whitley bay, north Northumberland, the north east coast and leads to the motorway. The rooms are clean and as you'd expect with Premier Inn. The WiFi is not great and it doesn't seem to matter what room youre in. The new breakfast room is really lovely and big thanks to Margaret in there who is simply wonderful. As vegans, we were catered for, except and I bring this up all the time, there is no dairy free Yogurt. Come on premier inn, sort it out. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pub next door is no longer a beef eater and when we went for a meal at 8pm, they'd closed the kitchen, so I wouldn't recommend the pub next door.

Lovely Hotel, Very friendly staff... Complimentary shortbread biscuits in the rooms which was a nice touch, something that doesn't happen in all premier inns. They no longer use the pub next door for meal deals, but you can still get breakfast on site at 'The Social'. Which was brilliant, lovely lady who greets everyone makes it!! The rooms are as standard, but they have installed shower doors which open over the sink, which for some people make it difficult getting in and out of the shower over the bath. Little bit of plane noise, but nothing to worry about as they stop flying from 11pm and don't appear to start again til 7am.

Really enjoyed our brief stay. Reception staff super friendly and really enjoyed the little extra touches being in a premier inn plus room. Easy car parking and just what we needed after a long day.

The premier inn brand is absolutely fantastic but this hotel in particular is in my opinion the best premier inn the country. The staff are amazing very friendly and welcoming. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed by the very happy staff who will go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms are new and have recently been renovated. All in all a wonderful experience made better by wonderful staff.

Comfortable clean room although seemed a bit drab after staying in the holiday inn Burnley. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for our visit and walking distance to willow farm restaurant...5 minutes. Have stayed before and will do again.
