Baldwin's Guest House Cozumel

I sit here outside the casita with a tranquil waterfall and fountain soothing my spirit I can only think of when I might return. This is a little piece of what I imagine heaven might be. If you want five star luxury and everything to be perfect you probably shouldn’t be here. If you want an authentic local experience this place is your launching pad. Steps away is very thing from a high end restaurant (Casa Mission) to some remarkable authentic affordable Mexican food. It’s a bit of a hike to the downtown (1.2 km or a 50 peso cab ride) but really why do you even need to go there, this neighborhood has everything and at a significantly lower cost. Our host, Hannah, has genuine interest in making your stay both comfortable and friendly. Her breakfasts are great (hot item and fruit, yoghurt, juice and coffee/tea). A communal breakfast and happy hour gives you a chance to connect with the other 8 or so guests staying on site. Stories and suggestions are exchanged and the days experiences are shared. Yes the pool is chilly, but gets some great sunshine. Taylor and Bonita, the resident pups, are great and friendly. Some other friends might include a turtle, iguana and some gecko’s. Yep want something other than that manufactured resort experience? Willing to accept that it is not silk sheets and turndown service? Then you’ll be fine staying here. Please don’t tell too many people. After all this place is unique and I wouldn’t want it over run by a bunch of people who can’t appreciate it.

Très bel endroit Excellent accueil d'Anna qui nous a de suite mis à l'aise et nous a donné des conseils pour notre séjour. Bel endroit, calme et accueillant, belle piscine même si à cette période l'eau est fraiche. Petit déjeuner copieux. Il y a des restaurants et gargotes pour manger dans les alentours. Anna s'est occupée de notre taxi pour retour au ferry. Je recommande vivement.

Perfect Little Oasis!!! What a great discovery!! Hannah treated everyone with such attentive care… a great start to the day with breaky and coffee in a setting where you could easily meet a few of the other guests… rooms were exceptionally cozy and pool was PERFECT, fully equipped with a little waterfall for ambiance!! Oodles of restaurants fancy and rustic all over the place nearby, and we were just a 10 min walk to the restaurants, stores, and activities at the ocean. Thank you so much Hannah for the wonderful stay… I will be back again!! :)

Hidden Gem in Cozumel! Hannah, the owner is an absolute gem! This property is decieving from the outside. Once through the gates it opens to a little paradise. Hannah and her pups made us feel welcome from the minute we walked in. Attentive, yet we always felt that it was just us. Each morning, Hannah would have the coffee on nice and early, and have breakfast ready in the Cabana where we dined with the other guests and enjoyed delicious fare. While we went out scootering, Hannah book a snorkel tour for us knowing we didn't have service where we were, and she got us the best deal too. Very thoughtful :) Great stay and highly recommended!

Great stay!! Tucked back in town, this is a great place to stay. We were only in Cozumel for 3 nights this time and chose Baldwins due to is proximity to our needs. We were able to walk this B&B from the airport, which was only about a 20 min walk. Hannah is a great host and is very friendly and full of great information about the island. Breakfast was very good. Property is beautiful. We would definately choose Baldwins in the future!
