Epiphyte B & B

We loved our stay at this little corner of paradise. We stayed at the cottage and were positively surprised about the (covered) outdoor bathroom. Our son loved the hammock and the swings. The location of the cottage nestled in the pure rainforest combined with the lovely hospitality of Matt were just a perfect match. Definite recommendation!

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at! We stayed in hibiscus cottage which was lovely. Clean and it was amazing being surrounded by rainforest. We loved having a dip in the creek which is just at the back of the cottage. One of the best features of the cottage was the toilet and bathroom! Gorgeous tiles and lovely and clean with one wall not there so it’s Open to the rainforest but still privacy if you’re shy about the rainforest watching you. No chance of any humans seeing you have a shower so don’t worry. Matt the host was amazing. He gave us great recommendations and truly cared about making our stay enjoyable. The fruit platter at breakfast was delicious! So many different fruits I’d never heard of before and so fresh. Truly an incredible experience. Location is perfect as well to see the daintree rainforest and to go to cape tribulation.

Matt runs one of the coolest B&Bs in the world, and I say that with over 40 countries of travel experience. His story of building this wonderful place, his hospitality to share it with the world, and the natural beauty of the Daintree Rainforest surrounding it all makes for a thoroughly enjoyable jungle stay. The exotic fruit breakfasts and fun recommendations for things to do by Matt (for those who want more than just to luxuriate in his B&B) made the stay a very special experience for my wife and me.

Mitten im Rainforest, Erholung pur Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, inmitten des Rainforests in einem tollen Haus gelegen in einem wunderschönen Garten. Unser Zimmer war sehr gross mit einem Balkon mit Blick auf den Wald. Matt war ein fantastischer Gastgeber und hat uns viele Informationen geben können. Hier heißt es mit und in der Natur leben. Gefrühstückt wird mit allen Gästen zusammen, viele verschiedene Obstsorten, selbstgemachte Marmeladen...auf der offenen Veranda. Für uns war dieser Aufenthalt der beste in drei Monaten!!!! I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Epiphyte BnB, and it was truly an exceptional experience. My stay at Epiphyte BnB was one of the highlights of my Australian adventure so far. Coming back from an exciting day of jungle exploration to relaxing in a hammock with my favourite book listening to the rain was just the best feeling. The hand-built property is a welcoming and open environment with a focus on green and sustainable-living and is perfectly located for those seeking to explore the rainforest and cape Tribulation. I very much enjoyed having great conversations with the host, Matt - whom is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area having come to Daintree to build Epiphyte many years ago. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at Epiphyte BnB if you’re looking for the perfect retreat to base yourself whilst exploring the Daintree rainforest.
