Birthday Celebration We rented this VRBO to celebrate our daughter’s 13th birthday, and there were definitely some positives. The interior of the home was clean and comfortable, and the basement—referred to as a bedroom—turned out to be a fun and spacious area the kids really enjoyed.However, there were a few things that held the experience back. The yard was in poor condition—messy, overgrown, and clearly not maintained—so we couldn’t really use the outdoor space the way we had hoped. Also, there was no TV in the bedroom. That might not be a deal-breaker for everyone, but it would’ve been helpful if it had been clearly noted in the listing, as it impacted how we relaxed in the evenings.The property has a lot of potential, especially for families, but a little more attention to outdoor upkeep and clearer listing details would go a long way.

Not great When we checked in there was standing water in the basement where two of the sofabeds were located. Water was seeping in from under the walls at several places and there was absorbent tubes trying to contain the water. We cleaned up the water so we would not have to step in it. In the morning, the puddles were back. Basement was damp and musty smelling, not a good place to sleep.
