An Chúirt Hotel, Gweedore, Donegal

This was our second visit, 2 nights over Easter. The hotel was much busier than before-however this did at to the atmosphere, and was by no means overcrowded. Check in was quick, personal and friendly. We had been given a suite ( room 210 ) that certainly had the wow factor. Huge bed, loads of room and stunning views. Breakfast was delicious, buffet style, but all was hot and fresh. We used the leisure centre a few times - its fair to say this looks a little dated, and could probably do with a complete deep clean and refurb. It was disappointing that the Infrared Sauna was still not working ( i gather this has been the case for months now). However, the pool itself and steam/sauna were good. On this visit the bar was open in the evenings, outside of these times and drinks have to be served from the restaurant across the courtyard ( even coffee ) this isn't great if the Donegal weather is wet! Overall though, this is a fantastic hotel with some of the best countryside and dramatic views you will see. The staff give it a real family run feel and couldn't do enough for you. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Wonderful hotel set in stunning countryside in the picturesque Gweedore area of Donegal. The staff are warm and friendly, the rooms are bright and spacious and spotlessly clean and the food is hearty and plentiful. There is a lovely bar on site and the view of Mount Errigal from the gardens is amazing. Great place to stay as a base to tour and discover the delights of this wonderful county.

Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Spacious room, comfortable (although it could have been warmer), good bathroom with hot water. We would have liked some bottled water in the room….fairly standard nowadays. Fara Og’s is a very nice building but the food was bland and disappointing. Also, it was chilly in there by the window.As residents we did not have access to a drink after 11.30pm. What has happened to residents’ lounges? Overall, enjoyable stay.

Wonderful hotel. The staff really make this place, I'd go so far to say that it's probably the friendliest hotel or certainly one of the friendliest hotels I've ever stayed in. We had the family room, it had a seating area to watch TV and there was plenty of space for our toddlers to run around. The setting is obviously stunning, the hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff at the leisure club are lovely aswell and the locals that use it equally so. The only thing I'd say is the changing rooms were too cold for me but I'm always cold so it's hardly a gripe. Food in Fara Ógs was excellent and staff were great. We were only here for two nights and I honestly wished we'd booked another. I really hope to come back. It was my Dad's 80th birthday trip and growing up we had many family trips to the Gweedore area so it's a special place in our hearts and thanks to the staff we've preserved those special memories and made some more.

Unbelievable hotel for the price. Really clean and great friendly staff. Great location and food really good. Comfortable beds and really peaceful. Leisure centre was excellent. Really quiet and very helpful staff. Plenty towels and no complaints at all.

Amazing hotel, staff were super friendly room was cleaned and bedding and towels changed each day. We would stay again in the future and would recommend! Fara Og restaurant is top notch, food was so good and the staff there were very pleasant. The views from the hotel of mount Errigal, just stunning! 😍
