R2 Hotel Pajara Beach

very run down ,broken tiles on the floor,stained toilet seats.Our aircon broke on our second night and i slipped on the tiles,i went to reception to complain but no compensation was given or a offer of a room change,They told me maintenance would come at 8am while we was out on excursion but maintenance didn’t come until late afternoon when i was in bed sleeping and walked in and did it while i was in bed !Food is cold so my best advice is to go to the buffet as soon as it opens so you have fresh food.Most food was the same for a few days but after our 4th night they began to do cuisine nights which was much better than having the same food for lunch and dinner for 3 days straight !the food at the pool bar is usually nicer than the buffet so we ate there most of our stay.Hotel guests are majority German and seem to not like british people and there are not many english speaking people as we were the only british guests for the first 4 nights .German guests are rude and would give us dirty looks,stare and whisper about us.We smiled at German guests and said hello while passing them but we would get glared at back and laughed at.This made us feel very uneasy and uncomfortable our whole stay.This resulted in us spending the majority of our time in our room or on our balcony it was very awkward.After our 4th day another british family came which also said they felt uncomfortable with how they were treated.Staff that did the day time activities are rude and called us “Lazy people” as we didn’t want to participate in volleyball ball against the german guests .There is a “profession “photographer in the hotel but be warned it’s pricey and you won’t know the price until it’s time to buy ,we asked the price multiple times beforehand but was given “€11.50 standard price “ but by the time it was over we had to pay $160 even tho we only wanted to purchase 2 photos ,we asked for only the 2 photos as it was cheaper but he said “wasn’t possible need to have atleast 19”They advertise Entertainment on tvs around the hotel but these are inaccurate they state one entertainment but once the show begins it’s something totally different .The gym is terrible ,most machines don’t work ,there around 8 dumbells all together no aircon in there .The hotel is 10 minute walk from shops and pharmacy which is good and the beach is on ur doorstep ,great views at sunrise and sunset.

Lovely relaxing beach holiday, with everything you need on site. Perfect for a chill and unwind holiday. The hotel was clean, the food was catered for everyone and the beach a few steps away. If you do fancy going out and about simply catch a local bus. You can catch a bus to Morro Jable which is busier with plenty of shops and a beautiful beach, it only cost 2.80 euros each way for 2 of us. We had a trip to the zoo, which was lovely, we done the camel experience, which we enjoyed. We stroked giraffes too, which was amazing. Altogether it was a fab holiday and the hotel was perfect.
