Kn Hotel Matas Blancas - Solo Adultos

I don't recognise this hotel from most of the reviews. Had 10 says at end of November early December and really enjoyed it. Had a hire car which I think is a must if you want to get around and see the island. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Wasn't there for lunch often but pool bar food was just burgers and hotdogs with chips or you could make up rolls but this was for convenience of guests who could still go to full lunch in the restaurant. Hotel nice and clean, lovely room always left nice by cleaning staff on my return and quiet bar where you could also sit outside on roof terrace. Love!y spar. I used this most evenings before dinner for a swim. I was not aware of any charge although the place was very quiet during my stay with not many guests. Beaches there are best in Europe but nice and quiet. Booked again for 10 says in May. Great value for money.

This was my first solo trip and I had an amazing time. Was surprised how many solo travellers there and was easy to get talking to people. I didn’t venture from the hotel so being remote for some R and R time was perfect… no children added bonus. Hotel clean and staff friendly. My room was spacious for a solo traveller. Yes the towels and sheet are not Egyptian cotton and appear well used however this is a sustainable hotel. I loved the fact you had to buy a cup which kept the area clean from the usual plastic cups littering the area. I’m a fussy eater but always found lots of variety to choose from and prefer my food cold….there is a microwave if you want it heated up. My only recommendation would be to have the two bars open alongside each other, the poor staff member on the pool bar area always multitasking doing other jobs and a queue builds up. Thank you KN Matas I had a lovely relaxing week away and would and I definitely come back…..definitely a hotel for solo and older travellers.

I’m horrified at how this hotel can stay open. The food situation is appalling. The food is varied, and if eaten when cooked fresh it’s fine. But the food stored on the ‘hotplates’ and I use the word cautiously, is not kept hot. We arrived on Thursday, by Sunday I was ill. I can’t say officially it’s food poisoning as I’ve not had a sample confirming it but I can assure you it definitely is that. It’s now Wednesday and I’m only eating tinned fruit, bread and plain cake. The TUI rep came yesterday at lunch as requested and the hotplates had been turned up to between 70-90, today one is back down to 59, and that had rice in it, this is asking for trouble. Unfortunately the location of the hotel is on the edge of nowhere and there isn’t anywhere else to eat, but we paid for all inclusive so shouldn’t have to look for anywhere else. We’ve had a meeting with the manager and his sidekick who to say the least were disinterested. They say they eat there but we’ve only seen them getting cold food and we’ve not seen them eating it as they take it away with them. I’ve lost 2 full days of my holiday whilst being in bed and since then dare not venture far from the room as need to be near the bathroom. Everyone we’ve spoken to have been upset by the situation but sadly not everyone has spoken to the manager so therefore he says there’s not a problem. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

We spent 6 weeks here from feb to march. The rooms are spacious, everthing was spotlessly clean, staff were very happy to help. The food was a bit hit and miss but wecould always find something to eat. The hotel is at the top of a hill and has nothing around it,this wasnt a problem for us as we like a good walk,it might be difficult if youre not semi fit. For what we paid i cant fault it, also no kids was an added bonus, the pools are fabulous too,id definitly go back

We were moved to this hotel by Jet2 after an issue with our original booking. The hotel claims to be 4 star, jet2 advertise 3star plus. We were allocated a ground floor junior suite which is very spacious with sitting area, large bathroom, bedroom and walk in wardrobe (with 4 hangers so not fit for purpose), 2 sun loungers and patio chairs. There is also a kettle and fridge. The room on first impression was contemporary but needs a bit of fixing up with screws poking out of shelves, woodwork lifting. The bed had seen better days though reasonably comfy. We only had one pillow each which could do with replacing, we asked for more and were told they weren't available. Our second night we went back to our room to find ants crawling over our bedroom and bed, I had a spray to get rid and they thankfully didn't return. There was holes in our bed linen of which there is only a thin sheet and thicker blanket if needed. The drinks selection for all inclusive is quite impressive, 4/5 cocktails made to order. Local spirits and beer. You pay 1 euro for a plastic cup which is far better then the smaller plastic disposable ones we were use to in other resorts. Breakfast is by far the best meal served, scrambled, boiled and fried eggs, a chef making omlettes to order, sausages, bacon, mushrooms and beans. Good selection of continental options and fruit. "Fresh" juice machine was temperamental. There is also a coffee machine. Lunch options started off okay but went downhill as the week went on as did evening meal options. We are not by any means fussy eaters but we ate out for the last four nights. The hotel itself is spotless no complaints around this at all. The pool area is lovely with plenty loungers, think it may be difficult during summer months. The spa is lovely, jet2 bookings have one visit included, any other visits are 15euro each. The spa provides you with your pool towels, take your own as the towels are falling apart at the seams! It's embarrassing that the hotel continue to provide them in the state they are in. Evening entertainment is pretty tragic but the young chap works hard and clearly loves his job. Evenings were spoiled by guests over indulging in too much alcohol and misbehaving, a commotion most nights. One guest had to literally remove another guest after being refused any more alcohol and then truing to help himself.... We wouldn't return as we feel the hotel has a long way to go to continue to claim as 4star/3plus. However, there were many solo travellers and witnessed how friendly the majority of guests were with one another so you can spend as little or as much time alone as you wish. We had hoped for a very quiet relaxed week away which is why we booked our original hotel. If this is what you're looking for particularly in the evening this may not be the hotel for you.
