Guayarmina Princess - Adults Only

My wife and I have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the El Mirador GL Hotel in Costa Adeje Tenerife. The food was exceptional the staff and in particular Carla Noda were marvellous nothing too much trouble. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for March next year. Happy days ahead

We have just returned from our 2nd stay at Guayarmina Princess. I was slightly worried about the room allocation after reading previous reviews for the platinum rooms without a sea view being in the basement. Last time we had partial sea view and a great room on 6th floor.. So my heart sank on check in when I saw the room number was level 1. But we quickly came to really like where we were situated. It’s handy to be there for access at the rear of the hotel and the lift takes you straight to platinum restaurant and infinity pool area. There was a slight drains smell some days in the corridor on level 1 as others have mentioned but nothing too bad. The music from Yuma the bar opposite the back of the hotel is very very loud at night, some nights worse than others, but stops at 12 - 12.15. I made sure we took ear plugs with us after reading reviews! The Hotel response to reviews on here js that sound proofing meets minimum standards or similar, but I really think it needs to be upped beyond that in the rooms that back on to Yuma as I imagine would put many people off returning, particularly as the majority of guests I would say are over 50. We are in our early 50’s and I actually liked most of the music they played just not at that volume late at night! We did not go to reception about it as couldn’t face the thought of packing up our stuff and unpacking again to move rooms. I really can’t understand other reviews which complain about the food (particularly if platinum) and rude staff. Firstly, the food choice in my opinion is excellent, I don’t eat meat other than chicken and do eat fish and I always found different things to eat in the main buffet restaurant. We ate in the Platinum every morning for breakfast and our evening meals were split between the Roast, Platinum restaurant and the buffet. Some lunchtimes we just got a salad or toastie from the pool bar rather than going to the buffet to make the most of the sun time! We had an amazing holiday and didn’t want to leave and will definitely be returning in the future. Also all the staff we dealt with, particularly in the bars and restaurants were exceptional and work very hard.

Had read so much about this hotel before I went and to be honest it wasn’t as good as I had hoped. We went all inclusive and platinum. We loved the platinum restaurant, the infinity pool and the use of roast - frequently. We liked our platinum room but hated the position overlooking a bar which played music until 12.00. The room was also overlooking a promenade so no privacy if just wanting to sit on the balcony to read. So this was my confusion - I was enjoying all the features of platinum but hated the noise and room position. We enjoyed the hotel bars but personally found the food poor in the Food Market (main restaurant). The entertainment was good some nights but not on others but again, that’s personal taste. In an ideal setting the platinum rooms would be in a better position as after all you are paying more and the platinum restaurant would offer a decent lunch buffet. These are our personal opinions and as we are frequent travellers to numerous places, we feel these improvements would improve the hotel. Would we go back - not so sure.

We were recommended to your hotel & really enjoyed our stay. We upgraded to Platinum & had a nice junior suite with side sea view & a bath. The room was lovely but my only complaint is that the bath was far too big. Because there was only a hand rail on one side, it was almost impossible to get out, so after 2 goes, I didn’t bother with it again. We will definitely go back again as due to my disability in being able to walk too far, being situated on the beach where it is completely flat, was a perfect location for me. We have been coming to Tenerife for just over 20 years , but our first time staying in this hotel, & we would recommend this hotel for its location.

We booked the platinum package, the room was very nice but you have to get a room on the 3 rd or 4 the floor. You are overlooking the strip and on the 2 nd floor people walking by can see right into your room. The restaurant choices were good, the pool areas and the night entertainment were also good Only went to the buffet once, didn’t like the set up or the food choices Overall we really enjoyed our stay once I sorted out the room Will be going. Ack next year if we can book a room on the 4 th floor

We have just returned from 11 nights at the Guayarmina Princess Hotel. We have been there a few times before. As usual, everything was amazing! The staff in all areas of the hotel are so helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Sunbed booking system was very good, we always got a bed and when other beds are cleared and vacated after 12.00 they can be taken by other guests. The food choice at breakfast and dinner was good, better than other hotels I have been to this year. Our room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. There were some good acts on in the evening around the pool and at the inside stage area. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, and look forward to going back there again next year.
