Perfect place in a beautiful part of Malta ideal base to explore the island. Michael and Annette are exceptional hosts and very helpful. The hotel is perfect and plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from and Valletta only a short ferry away.

We echo all of the other positive comments made as they are spot-on. Annette and Michael offer an exquisite and authentic experience which immerses you into the unique charm of a medieval Maltese guest house as though you've travelled through time. Attention to every detail and flawless presentation. You will also enjoy the separation between the guest rooms as this enhances both privacy and quiet. Sleep comes easy in the Auberge. Food, complimentary beverages, stunning Grand Harbour views. Deserves a 6th star. Tips for other travellers As everyone has different needs and desires be clear to your hosts as they sincerely wish to assist you in tailoring your stay to your liking. If your stay is short be sure to do your research as there is plenty to do on this relatively small island and many modes of transport including buses, various taxi services and ferries. Off-season car rentals are inexpensive however driving in Malta is to say the least, challenging. Make Gozo a must as it has a charm of its own.

Bei diesem Guesthouse wüsste ich nicht, was man noch besser machen könnte. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Die Ambiance in diesem stilvoll renovierten Haus vermittelt Ruhe und Geborgenheit. Besonders geschätzt habe ich das schön eingerichtete Zimmer, die gemeinsam nutzbaren Aufenthaltsbereiche (auch mehrere Dachterrassen) und das feine Frühstück. Auch die Lage in einem normalen, etwas verträumten Wohnviertel ist optimal. Es sind nur ein paar Gehminuten bis Birgu und Senglea, oder zur Personenfähre nach Valletta. Ein dickes Lob verdient das Gastgeberpaar, welches es vorbildlich verstanden hat, meinen Aufenthalt so angenehm wie nur möglich zu gestalten.

We had an incredible time staying at the 3 cities auberge for a week! The bedrooms, communal areas and outdoor areas are stunning as can be seen on the pictures. It is located in the heart of the historic centre, opposite Valletta and offers the real historic Maltese experience. It is only a short bus trip away from Valletta Centre (about 15 mins) or 10 mins by ferry. Both ferry and bus stations are 1-2 mins away from the auberge. You can also enjoy lots of nice restaurants in the harbour, again only a short walk away. Annett and Michael are so nice and friendly and very dedicated to their guests. We highly recommend the auberge! Laura and James

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said. My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of spending a week with Michael & Annett, two of the most beautiful people you could ever wish to meet. They are so kind and attentive, warm, friendly, witty,,, etc I could go on. They both have excellent local knowledge and can recommend places of interest as well as some fine restaurants two of which we dined in are Enchante and Del Borgo both (SUPBERB). Michael can turn his hand to anything, & has done so , plumbing ,carpentry electrical,,, (and making the best coffee). Annett prepares the most tasty, healthy and visually appealing breakfast, (and if you're lucky enough dinner) you could wish to eat, if only I could award a Michelin star. "The three cities Auberge" is a wonderful quaint boutique hotel you will thoroughly enjoy staying in. The detail, quality, workmanship & effort Annett and Michael have invested in the restoration is outstanding. If you are planning a trip to Malta stay in "The Three Cities Auberge" You'll arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

We visited for a long weekend to celebrate an anniversary and couldn’t have been happier spending it at 3cities. The house is beautifully renovated and gives an authentic experience along with very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The owners and hosts Annett and Michael helped make our stay even more special with their welcoming, attentiveness, recommendations and super tasty and varied breakfast! They truly went above and beyond and we wish we could have stayed longer! The location is great to experience the local way of life with an easy trip on the bus or ferry across to Valletta itself. Overall a wonderful stay and well worthy of all the 5 star ratings and more!

As my parents used to have a holiday home in San Gwann for over 20 years whenever they spoke of changing place I voted for the 3 cities part of Malta. Unluckily I was unheard there being many steps to walk, big houses and so on. So when I returned to Malta for a holiday with my husband I looked for someting truly Maltese and I found it in the wonderful 3Cities Auberge run by Annett and Michael. The Auberge is cosy and Annett and Michael have retained many of the original features in those high ceiling rooms. They are the perfect hosts, giving you valuable advice even before you arrive. Their tips are very reliable and they do everything to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast is a treat. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the whole range on offer as we went diving and didn't want to be to stuffed :-) Many good restaurants are just a 10 minutes walk away near the marina. Else get a cab and go to one of the other recommended places in no time. Would return anytime, very clean, a true home from home in many aspects.

This is a unique restored Maltese house. Lovingly restored by Annette & Michael.Which they have turn into a BB. This is no ordinary BB. This has obviously been a labour of love.The interior is beautiful & tastefully decorated. It oozes character & charm. Our room was beautiful, again attention to detail, a stunning ensuite & tasteful furniture. The bed was so comfortable with quality bedding. The room also had air conditioning. There were 2 areas upstairs where you could sit & enjoy the complimentary wine & beer & watch the sun set over the cities.Again these areas were well laid out & furnished. This is a great place to explore the 3 cities & only a short ferry ride to Valletta. We loved our time here & will return. Like so many people who have stayed here & fallen for its charm & beauty . The heart of this house are the owners Annette & Michael , they are so kind & helpful & who warmly welcome you into their home.This is a very special place.

There were only three things that made this a good stay: 1. The Auberge itself- it is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable and located in a perfect position to explore Malta. The breakfasts are delicious as well. 2. and 3. Annett and Michael- I don't think you could get more gracious hosts than this lovely couple. They are generous, helpful, charming and welcoming. We went back to the Auberge this year, having discovered it last year. We will definitely go back again. Unless, of course, too many people read this review and book the Auberge solid! When visiting Valletta, I strongly recommend the Underground tour (book via Heritage Malta) and the Luzzu boat tour of the harbours (from Sliema).
