Been here before in 2021, so we contacted the hotel to tell them we were coming back. We requested a high floor and also did this with Jet2. Upon arrival, we did not get a high floor, but the reception told us to come back after breakfast the following day, and they will check again. Different person on reception after breakfast, and she said they were full and nothing could be done. However, later on in the day, we noticed an elderley couple arriving and going up 22 steps to a high floor room - they struggled. I told the hotel that they needed to look carefully at where they situate guests. A lot of ppl in the hotel were elderley and had difficulty moving around. In general, our room was okay - a suite. In general, the stay was average - food was a little bland for my taste, and sometimes you had to wait for eggs. Although most staff were generally pleasant, I got the impression that they were not that bothered. Sheets were changed after 5 days, and with asking- we didn't know that sheets were not changed unless you asked. Didn't really think our stay was value for money and thought the theme nights in the restaurant were disappointed. Tinned peas and carrots, frozen hash browns warmed up, tinned meat balls in sauce, chewy chicken skews - disappointing for a 4 star which I believe is now not warranted. Will not be going back, I'm afraid. You snooze, you loose
