Barceló Corralejo Sands

We transferred her following a nightmare two nights at a neighbouring hotel which was supposed to be 4*. It cost £500+ to transfer less than 500 meters down the road. Best £500 spent so far this year but is that because this hotel is good or the last one was awful? Please read y review on the motorway service area with sun and decide for yourself. Reception was everything you could want. The room was spotless, clean and welcoming. The pool bar and all inclusive package offered there I could not fault. Then it goes pear shaped. The restaurant is underground and the food is cold, very repetitive and not at all inviting to the stage that on one evening my wife went in and had a bread roll on it's own. I did not go in. I cannot explain why but the vibes just made my stomach churn. The evening bar is a dungeon. Very poor service by staff programmed to be slow and serve less AI guests than paying. Tip them and feel wanted!! Stinks like a gym changing room, perhaps because it's next door to the gym changing room, poor entertainment and way too small to accommodate the number of guests the hotel caters for. The hotel has a bar attached to the main strip which is not included on the all inclusive package. People come off the street and then have free, unsecured access to the hotel and it's facilities. Totally not acceptable.

Picked this hotel based solely on the reviews we read and I agree wholeheartedly - the food was amazing every night with so many choices and staff worked incredibly hard all week

We requested upper floor room with sunny balcony and both were honoured, thank you. Room was lovely and domestic staff excellent. None of the sunbed issues that occur in Corralejo Bay. Bar and theatre area very poor. Never felt like we could spend the evening in the hotel. Food , this was an issue. Breakfast was adequate but dinner was poor. Did not enjoy many evening meals. Either cool or not enough choice. . Would probably return to Corralejo Bay next time

Vriendelijk personeel , mooi hotel met ruime schone kamer . Prima bed , genoeg kastruimte en fijne schone badkamer . Wij hadden de kamer op de verdieping met balkon en uitzicht op het zwembad en dat is heel erg goed bevallen . Helaas ook hier het welbekende handdoekje leggen waarvoor verbod bordjes staan maar waar totaal niet op gehandhaaft wordt . Voor ons was het enige echte minpunt het aanbod van het all inclusive diner , dat was onder de maat en wij zijn daardoor ook een paar keer uit eten geweest . ( hoorden meer mensen daarover klagen) verder een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit hotel .

Been here before in 2021, so we contacted the hotel to tell them we were coming back. We requested a high floor and also did this with Jet2. Upon arrival, we did not get a high floor, but the reception told us to come back after breakfast the following day, and they will check again. Different person on reception after breakfast, and she said they were full and nothing could be done. However, later on in the day, we noticed an elderley couple arriving and going up 22 steps to a high floor room - they struggled. I told the hotel that they needed to look carefully at where they situate guests. A lot of ppl in the hotel were elderley and had difficulty moving around. In general, our room was okay - a suite. In general, the stay was average - food was a little bland for my taste, and sometimes you had to wait for eggs. Although most staff were generally pleasant, I got the impression that they were not that bothered. Sheets were changed after 5 days, and with asking- we didn't know that sheets were not changed unless you asked. Didn't really think our stay was value for money and thought the theme nights in the restaurant were disappointed. Tinned peas and carrots, frozen hash browns warmed up, tinned meat balls in sauce, chewy chicken skews - disappointing for a 4 star which I believe is now not warranted. Will not be going back, I'm afraid. You snooze, you loose

Brilliant holiday in lovely hotel. Lovely rooms, cleaned every day. Food was delicious with plenty of choices. Well kept grounds and very clean. Staff friendly and polite. Would recommend to all ages for a great holiday.
