"The biggest advantage of this accommodation is the location. I booked an ocean-view room, and the view was truly beautiful. The bed was comfortable, and the internet worked well. That said, there were also some downsides. First, the refrigerator did not work at all. I had to throw away items such as yogurt that I had bought the day before. They replaced the refrigerator, but the new one did not work either, and I was not compensated for the inconvenience. Second, the window door was not properly maintained or lubricated, so I had to call an engineer twice because it would not open. I specifically chose this room for the ocean view, so it was frustrating not to be able to open the balcony door. Still, in the end, the ocean view outweighed everything else. If you book this place, I highly recommend choosing the ocean-view side."

"El Cordova is a historical type of hotel with lovely Spanish touches in the room I stayed in (#5) - Spanish tiles in the bathroom also a small kitchen area with a stove, microwave, and a refrigerator. I was also surprised that this room had a small living room in addition to the bedroom. Truly the hotel makes walking easy to Coronado beach as well as all of the stores and restaurants. Previous reviews noted that the Mexican restaurant can be very "noisy" - there was some noise, however, not bad enough to keep me awake. I was surprised that the hotel did not have an elevator; several steps to get to your room. The clerk was very kind to assist me with getting my luggage in and out of the room has I have some "issues" with one of my knees. All, in all - I liked my room and would stay there again."
