East Winds St. Lucia- All Inclusive

The delay in writing this review must not reflect on how beautiful, wonderful and special this hotel is (I'm just not very organised!) We had two weeks here and each day was a joy. Every team member we met was so friendly, and were genuinely proud of where they worked and the experience everyone who stayed there got to enjoy. Particular highlights were the trip up the coast via the mud pools and waterfall, the return back singing along to Ricky T Soca and snorkelling in the clear waters off the hotel's beach, will live forever in our memories. We'd only stayed all inclusive once before this hotel, it's not our preferred choice of accommodation. East Winds was so far from any other all-inclusive and several other hotel options, we've had; a wonderful, spacious room, delicious food and great wine choices. Thank you. Helen and Andrew

With only 30 rooms, and no disco or casino, bring your own partner. Yoga and Pilates offered on site, as well as cooking and tasting activities. Offsite excursions also offered. Water sports offered include Hobie Cat sailing (with instruction), snorkeling, paddle boarding and snorkeling. Small beach and pool with sufficient chaise lounges provided. No need to claim before breakfast. Good shade offered at the beach (trees and structures). Small surf. Excellent food with dinner served. Gluten free and vegan offerings. Excellent live music with dinner. Only a few danced. Roughly 80% of guests were Brits. Many were regulars. Good resort for “mature” guests. Resort setting is a garden. Abundant flowers and hummingbirds. My wife and I enjoyed each other in the beauty and quiet of this special place. Disappointed that we did not have an expansive beach for morning walks. Rocks and trees on one end of our beach and Windjammer Resort on the other end.

Just returned home after a wonderful 9 night stay. An amazing hotel with incredible staff made this a relaxing and memorable trip. Facilities and food as well as the beautiful beachfront setting make all the review comments very well deserved but for us it was the staff that made the holiday.. hardworking, attentive with a real personal touch. We stayed in room 12 which we loved. close to everything. only 2 minutes walk to the beach but from our veranda felt like we had our own little world to sit and look out at the beautiful gardens. My wife enjoyed the Yoga and Pilates classes and we both took part in the rum tasting and garden walks. Would recommend a trip to pigeon island and Rodney bay, as well as going further a field to The Pitons. The fact that the majority of the guests were multiple repeat visitors says it all. We would love to come back again one day

We split our stay in St Lucia, 4 nights in the south and 6 nights further North at East Winds. We are not really beach people but we loved East Winds. There was enough to do as well as time to relax. We stayed in room 27 which was lovely, it had a sea view and the feeder on the balcony attracted lots of birds including hummingbirds. We took part in the yoga and pilates, we had massages and I had a facial. We went out on the hobie cat a couple of times, the paddleboards and used the snorkeling gear (although not too much to see). We did the excursion to Pigeon Island and the walk with Simeon on a Tuesday morning and the rum tasting was brilliant. The quality of the food and wine was exceptional and all the staff are so lovely and very helpful. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to return again one day. An excellent resort , very helpful and friendly staff , excellent cuisine. Impressive attention to detail . I think that the photo in the tripadvisor picture was taken front the beach front room where we stayed, most of the "rooms" are separate buildings in the grounds, not necessarily beachfront. We talked to fellow guests who included a number who were returning ( 8th stay in one case ) and we want to go back again, as soon as we find an alternative to the BA jumbo flight ( which I wouldn't recommend) . Some of the guests were happy to spend their time on the beach, we, and others , took advantage of the hotel's specialist trip organiser ( Simeon ) to arrange visits to experience different parts of St Lucia. Would definitely recommend Eat Winds.

You won't find a better place to stay. Anywhere. This little Boutique-by-the-beach location is exquisite, caters to your every need, is safe, friendly and surrounded by lovely gardens. Where-ever you walk you'll see something beautiful, whether it is the hummingbirds, some new flower, or the Beach itself. Very private and relaxed, the sunchairs are extremely high-quality with excellent padding and are under fixed-post thatched umbrellas. Waitstaff will gladly bring you any drink or snack, and they loved my new Mocktail! (ask for La Zo and see if you like it too) The rooms have everything you need, and the sunken-in showers are a delight. Bed is super comfy, good sized spaces for hanging, luggage racks, bathroom spaces etc. On arrival my bed and the whole room and bathroom were decorated with flowers grown on site and changed a few times for fresh ones. It was a magical holiday. I wish I could live there. The restaurant is excellent and I'm told lots of people from nearby resorts come just for the all-inclusive drinks and meal menus. Very fair price. The restaurant staff are very accomodating. You'll love the changes in menu every day and the fresh fruit blends they offer at breakfast. I didn't want to leave the grounds at all but I did take a tour on a yacht which went down to Soufriere, and we had the mud experience and the waterfall and then snorkelling in the afternoon, with lunch provided by East Winds kitchen. Far better than I was expecting, it was a truly lovely day. The musical entertainment is quite varied and I enjoyed every performer, however, they have a Pianist who is most extremely talented and makes any evening a highlight of your stay. Just sitting in the Hexagonal Bar, with the Book Exchange and the Orchids can be a pleasant way to spend the day, but I confess the gentle tides and the pink lounge chairs called me again and again. The water is truly emerald in colour, and due to the little bay, easy and gentle to swim or float in. The Yoga room which caters to pilates etc is a huge, wooden decked- open space and I enjoyed the walking tour of the Garden with Sylvanus very much indeed. I am counting the days until my return. I won't stay anywhere else in St Lucia.
