Urban House Copenhagen by Meininger

Pessimo, un semplice ostello e non un hotel. Avevamo preso una camera doppia con bagno privato e colazione. A parte che il servizio clienti non risponde alle mie mail. Colazione scadente, le posate pulite male, tutto buttato lì e tutti che toccano tutto. Uno schifo. La struttura ha un odore di “stagnato”, il bagno orribile non ha né finestra e la ventilazione non funziona. Lasciando perdere anche qui gli odori. Schifo.

Eravamo in due e ovviamente dato il prezzo pagato non avevamo grandi aspettative anche perché conosciamo la catena ma ritengo che la stanza per due era troppo piccola , mancava l’aria , non c’era nemmeno lo spazio per camminarci in due e il soffitto era troppo basso infatti abbiamo rischiato di farci male battendo la testa più volte e le finestre non si potevano aprire più di un tot. La posizione è centralissima nulla da dire. Le pulizie vengono fatte solo su richiesta giornalmente e se si ha bisogno di altri asciugamani li danno senza problemi. Das Hostel liegt mega zentral in Kopenhagen. Zum Tivoli Garden sind es gerade mal ca. 10 Minuten. Unser Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe und lag auf einer oberen Etage. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Beim nächsten Besuch in Kopenhagen, buche ich die Unterkunft gerne wieder!

TERRIBLE. DISGUSTING. This is the mist disgusting dirtiest hotel i have ever seen in my life. I have been staying in hostels for a long time but i havent seen anything as bad as this one. Customer service is terrible they dont have solutions for anything. There are no lockers in the rooms, no space for your stuff or no hygene at all. The rooms look and smell like they havent been cleaned in a month. The building is very old and stuffy. I left even though they didnt give me a refund. Worst experience in my life.

The reasons why I chose urban House were location, value, early check-in, breakfast and laundry. All but one met my expectations. I really wanted to give three stars because I needed my laundry done and their machines were down, but they did not have an out of order sign on the machines or on the door of the laundry room. I put all my dirty clothes in the washer only to find out that it was not working five minutes later so I lugged my dirty clothes back to the room. However, it would not be fair because of all the other stuff, such as the four minute walk from Copenhagen, Central Station, and major attractions, early check-in, breakfast every morning, and value for the room we got. At the end of the day, if you are looking for a good value at a safe and clean location, this is a great hotel. There were seniors to infants, and solo travelers to large groups. It is close to just about everything in town. If you want to rent a car for the day, there are car rental agencies within 12 minutes of the hotel. I’d stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay, a few small issues, if I was looking to stay in a private family room hostel I would come back here (this was our second visit, we thought we would try again and see if things changed) I'll just touch on a few negatives which aren't to serious and didn't really affect our stay -the walls are thin, ofcourse, it's an old building but I did not enjoy hearing someone singing and playing guitar for over an hour, I am sorry, your music wasn't my type and after being up early for our flight, trying to chill I did not want to hear it..We also heard alot of children running around, that did not bother us but if you need quiet then maybe not the area in the hotel to be in, -the bath is dangerous, I actually fell in as the style of the bath is more rounded then it looked, there is no grip/texture in the bath or mat, I understand mats get mouldy but my knee was covered in bruises and I hurt myself from it, --bath shower door had no grip at the bottom which made the floor tiles wet --no plug for a bath due to people flooding it, ashame, I would of even paid a deposit as I only have a shower at home, -we were told to go down in the morning to request room clean, as ex housekeeper and knowing most arrived, I didn't understand why I could not request the night before --our room also had alot of dust under the bed, everywhere else was very clean -some guests do not want you in that kitchen while they're cooking and they let it known by their body language and tone -issues with booking breakfast online, went down and asked, was told its busy and come back later, this was said nicely but I was hungry so went elsewhere -bedbunk squeaked, if you have someone on the top, the smallest move and it's squeaking -lumpy pillows So the positives -housekeepers worked incredibly hard, minus the dust under the bed, everywhere was very clean, -the kitchen is a nice size and kept clean, it's free to use so we refilled bottles there -breakfast while I can not rate it, the cost was cheapest around if I could eat there, -room was a good size, full length mirror, desk, suitcase space and bathroom was a good size, -beds were very comfortable, mattresses were lovely, -downstair areas to chill in, -lockers were at a good rate, -everything needed and expected, -location I definitely would come back if I was looking for a family private room hostel to stay in, we did enjoy our stay and while the negatives may look like a bigger list, it wasn't really an issue and more letting you know if the place may not be for you, I would recommend here to families and people I know
