Errigal Country House Hotel

We recently booked dinner for family celebration in the new restaurant - R&R Brasserie. When we arrived, we were quickly seated as had a reservation made. The food was amazing - only complaint was the duck salad, there was only two small pieces of duck found in it, about the size of a finger nail. Disappointed with that considering price of it. Rest of the food - starters, mains & desserts were superb. The staff was the main negative experience we had. We had drinks near thrown down onto the table by what seemed to be the manager. He also rudely interrupted our server when she was taking our orders and we noticed him do this on other occasions at other tables. He gave the impression he didn't want to be there and leaving drinks to our table was beneath him. The staff seemed to be non-existent within the restaurant except when serving food, that was when you then could get their attention to order more drinks/pay the bill, otherwise they seemed to be in-hiding. While the food was brilliant (except for the duck salad), I'm unsure if I would recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

The hotel was outstanding from food, garden spa, staff and rooms. A hotel were you can truly relax and unwind and treat yourself to a great massage and great food and drinks. Cocktails were outstanding and staff so friendly and attentive especially Gary. Great service and good old fashioned Irish banter and Peter too. We feel refreshed and rested, we will be back.

First time staying at the Errigal Country Hotel but it definitely won’t be my last time. Super friendly staff, first class and spacious room and fantastic dinner, the bao buns and spice bag main were both delicious. Breakfast amongst the best I’ve ever had and once again, the staff and service were top notch. Keep up the good work!

Got early check in noting was a problem staff were always on hand. Food was good quality child friendly definitely be back.

The bed was very comfortable to sleep in and there was plenty of room with a wheelchair. The staff in the dining area were very good, the chef was able to meet the individual needs while on a specialised diet. This hotel will be recommended in the future to other individuals traveling in the Co. Cavan direction.

The pillows are awful very hard to sleep on them , bring your own . Beds were comfortable & dressed well Rooms were lovely especially the champagne suite , bit expensive but worth it for the juccuzi. Food was fabulous Staff were nice & friendly
