The Otesaga Resort Hotel

We stayed here for New Year’s Eve and loved every second. Cooperstown is small town America in a nutshell. It is an amazing place to see at Christmas and The Ottesaga sits as the grand old lady on the lake. We sat on rocking chairs looking over the lake with family and it really was the most idyllic spot I’ve been to in a long time. The staff are impeccable and the rooms super spacious. I would recommend this place to everyone! The baseball hall of fame is also a must see!

For my husband's 77th birthday, I arranged a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame, with an overnight at the Otesaga. What a wonderful experience! From the greeters at the door, to Lance at the reception desk, to the restaurant staff, and the housekeepers, they know hospitality! The weather was cloudy and cool, the reception was sunny and warm. We had a delicious dinner in the Hawkeye- the best end cut of prime rib I've ever eaten, and my husband loved the beef and sausage meatloaf. We couldn't finish it all, so we asked for a doggie bag! And what a feast we had when we arrived at our camp the next evening! Did I mention the bucolic setting in the heart of the rolling hills of New York State! I'm a finicky traveler. I like top notch cleanliness, a comfortable be, to be able to open a window in a hotel, and turn off the HVAC system. You can do that at the Otesaga!! We had the best sleep-so quiet, so comfortable. I wish it was around the corner. I can't imagine how busy it must be during induction (into the Hall of Fame) season, and the summer months, but I'd go back for the hospitality and the food! The breakfast had everything you could want and more- the usual eggs, meats, omelets-to-order, fruits, yogurt, cereal, granola, pancakes, waffles, potatoes, you name it! The grounds are beautifully maintained, and include traditional pots of flowers along the entry, and exits, all in the same violet color scheme. The Hall of Fame was pretty fantastic, too! Nice hotel with a great staff services. Very helpful and proactive staffs. The breakfast is delicious and as per the preference. Look forward to visit again in the future............... Keep up the same work and thanks to everyone for making the stay more pleasant!

As a frequent traveler for both business and pleasure, I have never experienced such a bad policy for changing dates on a reservation. All hotels have cancellation policies which I understand but this one will not bend on something that makes no sense. While they accommodated my first couple of requests (customer change/weather), they have now told me that I will have to forfeit my stay if I change again. We have a weather issue (14 inches of snow) which prevents me from traveling but the hotel will not budge for an "act of God" - not sure who is making the rules up there but my recommendation is do not book during the Winter - they are unwilling to do what every other hotel in the US will do....

Almost perfect. Beautiful hotel and grounds. Ideal location. Nice room. Great Staff. Nice Breakfast. Just need EV chargers for Electric Vehicles… I noticed a few EVs in the parking lot and the town seems to lack them. It’s time to offer this for your clientele.

You will not be disappointed! Staff was courteous and accommodating. The resort was very clean and inviting with the well placed couches and chairs in front of the fireplaces. The views of the lake were gorgeous even in the winter. Best of all was the restaurants and options for delicious choices.
