I honestly cannot fathom how this property has this rating... my stay at Ibex Stays and Trails in Coonoor (on Leewod Estate) was superb! This is a beautiful historical property in the middle of a tea plantation just a 10-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Coonoor. I was so impressed with my stay, especially the service from Reshma and Khartik. The views are fab, my room was huge, everything was immaculate and the decor felt very grand. All the artwork and furniture are original pieces from colonial times. There are bikes you can use free of charge to explore the area, and the food was really tasty and fairly priced. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and excellent value. Would certainly stay again!

So this review is on my mother’s behalf !! 2 Senior Citizens - my mum & her friend went on 5 days trip to Conoor and neighbouring places, where in they stayed in Ibex,Conoor for 2 nights. Here is the Gist of there 2 Horrible day n nights spent in this 1* property with ignorant and disrespectful staff !! 1). 1st day when they reached they got a box kinda room when asked for change thy shifted them to a room with a condition that they will have to exit this room in morning n shift to another (3rd) room. 2). 3rd room next morning had a bathroom but wasn’t functioning so the Staff decided to open 4th room for them to use the washroom only !!!!!! Can u imagine in 1 day senior citizens Two ladies were made to shift 3 times !! With all luggage Pack n unpack !! 3). Food was calculated - if asked for 2 puris then only that no consideration at all !! 4). Water bottle for the night had to fetch on her own coz staff did not bother. 5). Only saving Grace in the staff was lady named “Reshma”. Rest all are doing a favour to the owner or may be the guest !!
