The Royal Hotel

I got married on the 4th July with my reception being at the Royal Hotel. The staff and experience I received was more than I ever dreamed of from planning and guidance from Tanya for my big day right through to the end of the night. From start to finish the attention to welcoming my quests and hosting us for the evening was 10/10 I could not be happier. Breakfast in the morning was also perfect! Thank you so much!

We were at a family wedding last weekend and it was amazing from start to finish. All the guests were treated like VIPs from they arrived with tasty mini burgers, scones, shortbread served to them as they waited on the bridal party arriving, the party was definitely in full swing before they got there! The hall where the main reception was held was astounding in it's set up with a colour match made in every detail from the lighting to the napkins. Food served was piping hot and plentiful with it being a real struggle to manage a piece of cake at the end. Very smooth turn around for the evening of dancing and drinks with a late buffet served of delicious assortment of hot food to suit all tastes. Bedroom was a welcome relief for the sore feet with all amenities presented in an exceedingly clean room and the comfy bed had us sleeping soundly. Expectations were again exceeded in the amazing choice of breakfast items from a Continental self service table to a freshly cooked to order menu with plenty of tea and coffee to help start our day. Would highly recommend to anyone arranging any function or even just a get together.

Great experience from start to finish, reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had Sunday carvery, 2 adults to teenagers, kids ate free with 2 paying adults. Amazing value, 4 of us were fed for £55 this was unbelievable. The food was outstanding, in particular the roast beef is to be commended so tasty and melts in your mouth. Couldn't fault anything and will be back. Well done to all the staff at the Royal Hotel.

Have called into the Royal on several occasions for their breakfast. Absolutely fantastic. The fry was excellent, full fry, tea, toast all served warm, fresh and delicious. Would highly recommend. Their service and friendliness is outstanding. Always helpful.

This is the second time we have held our awards dinner at this location. The staff are amazing from initial booking at reception right thought to the staff serving the food on the night. No matter what you need or ask for it is done without complaint or issue, Tanya and her team are a credit to the hotel. Food is always amazing and you will not go home hungry.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Brought us coffee when we were under pressure, stayed with us and helped us with technical challenges, provided plenty of good food and provided food boxes so everyone could take remaining food home. Also staff were very quiet bringing food in as speaker was still addressing audience at the time. Gave everyone time to talk at end of meeting did not make us feel we had to leave. On top of all that because less people came to the meeting than we had ordered for the Royal discounted our bill.
