One&Only Mandarina

Our first stay at O&O Mandarina will not be our last. This was a multi-gen family trip consisting of my parents and our 6-year old daughter, and the resort fulfilled every age group's expectations. The setting is paradisical - you feel as if you've been dropped into the midst of the jungle, but with every luxury amenity available. We were upgraded to an Oceanside Cliff Villa with an unbelievable view and the plunge pool was the perfect temperature for a quick dip whenever the mood struck. The outdoor shower is peaceful and the closet is one of the most roomy I've encountered. The spa is an absolute standpoint. Don't hesitate to return on days you didn't book a treatment, as my mother and I enjoyed an entire morning revisiting the steam room and sauna and lounging at the intimate but secluded pool. The gym if well-equipped and complete with spare headphones, chorophyll water and healthy bites for an energy boost. I was a bit hesitant regarding needing a golf cart for transportation around the resort due to its sprawling nature, but the response time was so quick and it was quite nice not to have to worry about dragging all of our belongings a distance to the beach or pool. Our daughter requested to go to the Kids Only club every single morning, which gave us precious adults only time and led to the perfect balance between a family and relaxing vacation. The Jetty provides a swimmable beach which is very rare on the Pacific side and something we missed in other locations. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this property!

WE enjoyed our stay at this property. The villa, grounds and staff were excellent. The food and food service could use some improvement.

Everything was wonderful during on our trip to One and Only Mandarina. The property is truly breathtaking, and the set up of the villas and rooms is unique. The accommodations are in the the jungle surrounding by nature, but are luxurious and clean. We spent 4 nights during our son's spring break and the resort exceeded our expectations. We chose to participate in a few activities while spending a good portion of the day enjoying the beach. The hikes we went on were challenging but fun, and the spa was an excellent experience. Our son also enjoyed a little time at the kids club. The staff really go above and beyond to show hospitality and care. Alfredo and Miguel were our hosts and made a point to communicate promptly and help us with any requests that we had. They were friendly and we appreciated their warm care. Lastly, the food was fresh and delicious. We never had a hard time finding something that sounded good. Yes it's expensive, but if you go in knowing that you won't be left with any surprises. *I want to note that others have complained about the Mexican badgers (coatis). We saw many on our trip but none of them bothered us in the least. They never gave us any problems. Also, there are many kinds of birds on the property and the wildlife is so fun to experience!

What a beautiful and special place. I am very happy we chose this hotel. Immersed in nature, there are many beautiful spaces to relax and eat that we never left the hotel and we were there for 8 nights. The polo match and the stables were magnificent.
