Hotel LIVVO Koala Garden

We had a really enjoyable stay at the Koala LIVVO Apartments in Maspalomas and would happily recommend it — with one unfortunate caveat. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and after a bit of exploring, we found our two apartments tucked away in the complex. The layout is compact — it would be a squeeze for four people — but manageable. Each had two single beds and a double sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen is tiny, suitable only for the most basic cooking (no oven, just a microwave), but that was fine for us. The communal spaces were excellent. The pool area is well set up, with plenty of sun loungers (no early morning towel battles!), and the pool itself was heated — a real bonus in April. There’s a Spar just a 3-minute walk away, with an Aldi about 20 minutes on foot. A large shopping centre with various shops is around a 25-minute walk, and the beach is a pleasant, if slightly long, 40-minute stroll. There’s one shuttle bus per day each way (9:30 am and 3:30 pm), which suited us well. Where things fell down, unfortunately, was on our last day. We were staying in two apartments and had vacated one, moving to the terrace of the other to finish packing a few last bits before our taxi. Although we were mostly out by the noon checkout, the cleaner arrived at 12:30 and was, frankly, deeply unpleasant. I politely asked if she could start in another area while we finished up — there were 8 areas to choose from — but she made a point of starting with the one we were using. Worse, she began throwing away our personal belongings (including sun creams and makeup), which we had to retrieve from the bin. It felt unnecessary, aggressive, and really soured our last impression. It’s a shame, as everything else about the stay was spot on for the price — clean, cheerful, great facilities and well located. Had it not been for that final interaction, this would have easily been a 5-star review.

El Home Collection está situado cerca del Koala Garden, no tiene recepción propia por lo que haz de ir al Koala Garden y luego volver al Home, es digamos la versión low cost, pero aún siendo mas barato habría cosas que mejorar. Por ejemplo, el último día se puso a llover y se inundó el apartamento ya que entre el suelo y la puerta hay unos 2cm de hueco, tenía una plaga de arañas que me provocaron una reacción alérgica acabando en el hospital cercano, en el dormitorio no existen enchufes al lado de la cama. En cuanto a las instalaciones, la piscina tiene un horario un tanto peculiar de 9 a 5 de la tarde, en teoría cierra porque el socorrista acaba su jornada y entiendo que es innecesario pagar otro socorrista, pero a las 5 es cuando la gente suele tomar el sol.. podrían cambiar el horario de 10 a 6 al menos. Destacar que tienen servicio de limpieza diario, lo cual es bueno, pero siguen habiendo cosas que han de mejorarse y sobre todo tener los huéspedes controlados (los apartamentos contiguos fueron alquilados por unos 6-8 jóvenes extranjeros que se la daban de fiesta con la música a todo volumen hasta altas horas).

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, nie wieder, wenn man als Paar anreist - nicht empfehlenswert! Kinderanimation in vollster Lautstärke durch das Mikrofon, täglich bis 22:30 Uhr!! Zimmer befinden sich um die Kinderanimation, oder auch direkt zur stark befahrenen Strasse. Es ist immer laut, man bekommt keine Erholung. Zimmer okay für südliche Verhältnisse, aber nicht wirklich geputzt! Essen ist Massenproduktion, ohne Liebe, schlechte Qualität, Billigware Viele Katzen streunen zwischen den Stühlen umher und holen sich die Essensreste vom Servierwagen, und trinken aus dem Pool Wasser. Hotellobby richt extrem nach Raumparfum, und es gibt ein quitschendes Geräusch das Tag und Nacht permanent zu hören ist, auf dem gesamten Areal, Schuld wird der Wind sein, etwas Schmieröl könnte helfen. Manches Personal ist freundlich, anderes wiederum nicht, Arbeitsmoral niedrig. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder.

We booked as a party of 13 self catering for a birthday trip. On arrival we were upgraded to All Inclusive. The food was great. Something for everyone and not repetitive. Each and every one of the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was entertainment day and night and it was such a great atmosphere. I would definitely return here in the future.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and hard working. We loved the food and the spacious accommodation. The cocktails, wine, beer and other drinks were all brand names, which was a welcome surprise. The animation team delivered a masterclass on how to engage with and entertain children. This was an exceptionally great holiday and we would love to come back.

New Year 2024 The first thing you need to know is that the apartments and hotel are separate entities. The complex is vast and split into "zones" If you are self catering in the apartments then it's not possible to enter the hotel zones meaning you can't enjoy the entertainment which was very disappointing considering we had booked for New Year. Many guests were unaware of this and in agreement we would have been willing to pay to join in the celebrations. The apartments themselves are definitely in need of a refresh/refurbishment. The kitchen area is very small, 2 electric hobs with a microwave, kettle and a toaster. Some cutlery, 2 pots and 1 frying pan. Our beds in the room were twin and the sofa turned into a bed which was suitable for our 12 year old For some reason we only had 2 duvets and then a thin white sheet. Cleaning was sporadic and after 4 days we went to reception to ask for clean towels and a toilet roll top-up. The cleaner did eventually arrive that evening and change the bedding. The mop they use is a spray mop so not very thorough but they do what they can with the tools they are given. The pool area is fine, plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas The location is very far out from the main areas, 30-45 minutes walk but there is a free bus into town that leaves at 9.30am (we didn't ever use it) There is also a free bus to Aqualand Water park. Taxis are readily available and reception will phone one for you. Cost is roughly €7 to playa del Ingles and €9 to Meloneras There is a Spar a few minutes walk which is a bit more expensive than the Hiperdino but ideal for essential items Hiperdino is a 15 minute walk possibly. Holiday World is close by and perfect for grabbing food and some drinks if you aren't fussed on going into the main areas For the price we paid and given the time of year, the apartment's were adequate for a break in the sun
