Hotel Riu Papayas - All Inclusive

This hotel is an absolute joke. Currently writing this review whilst here and Can’t wait to leave. Got to the hotel, was given our keys to the room went up all looked ok, come down to get some dinner headed back up after as we have an 8 month old and we arrived late all very sleepy. The music coming from the bars being the hotel is an absolute joke. You might as well be playing music full blast in your room. This carried on until 2am I did not sleep night 1 and neither did my baby. Went down complained was told I’d have to wait until tomorrow. Spoke to the tui rep basically told the same. Wasn’t really interested in helping. My mum come with me later in the day to complain with me again and I was then told it was sorted I’ll be moving to a quieter room tomorrow, The next morning grabbed the keys to my new room looks lovely nice view etc… Then comes the evening. We look over the hotel next door. Which entertainment started at 9 blaring awful music out until late at night again so loud you can’t sleep and woke my baby up several times! So after being promised a quieter room I have completely opposite- I will be making another complaint tomorrow! it’s absolutely not acceptable especially if you are coming away for a nice relaxing holiday and instead have spent the first few nights awake until 2-3am. I never normally write reviews as I think you should always come and see for yourself! But if you have children/babies or you yourself like it a little more quiet at night in your rooms. DO NOT COME HERE.

Wij zijn voor de derde maal in dit hotel. Prima service. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, zowel horeca, receptie, entertainment, schoonmakers etc. Het enige kleine minpuntje c.q irritatie blijft toch het reserveren van de bedden bij het zwembad. Daar mag wat mij betreft het hotel strenger op controleren.

We visited with Family for Christmas and New year. The staff really make this place and we’ve throughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was basic but clean and sufficient for the time we were in it. The food was lovely, plenty of choice and tasty. The Asian speciality was our favourite it was fantastic with a very good selection. We missed the Spanish as the days open in the app conflicted with the schedule in the reception area which was disappointing. The Gala Dinner for Christmas Day and New Year Eve were very good there were two sittings 6pm or 8:30pm. The food was great, the staff were attentive and the tables were decorated nicely. The decorations around the stage plus the visit from Santa was excellent and you could see the staff had made a huge effort. The animation team never stopped and our little girl had the best time. She joined in all games and thoroughly enjoyed herself. The team were brilliant and really made our holiday. Richard was especially brilliant. The white party was great, the coach home was a little early but we had a brilliant night and the team went all out. My only complaints would be the noise in the corridors early on - the maids were very loud as were the other guests. People really should have a little bit more consideration not everyone rises early. The pool area is clean and there were plenty sunbeds albeit some were shaded until late morning. The pool is supposed to be heated but it’s very cold so we barely used it. Turn the heat up please in winter so it’s more bearable. We had a fantastic stay and I’d recommend.

Noisy cleaners The hotel was ok but every single morning between 8am & 830am the cleaners were shouting to each other down the corridors, they were rhe nousiest cleaners ever . We was woken up they banfed on the door , got you up and then when you went for breakfast they didnt come back for hours later even though they had woken you up. The last thing a person on holiday wants us being woken up early in the morning. No card to say do not disturb. They did an Asian night in a seperate restaurant that was superb. The Desserts were poor considering the good food for the main. The same desserts every single night , just a different colour, same flavour every night . This lets the food side down. Rest was ok
