Cortijo San Ignacio

En el Hotel Cortijo San Ignacio la cosa ha ido muy mal. Las habitaciones no tienen ni ventilador ni aire acondicionado ni ventanas con mosquitera. El problema vino cuando por la noche la habitación estaba llena de mosquitos (y también de otros bichos. Dos arañas y una cucaracha pequeña) y teníamos que taparnos con el edredón (no había sábanas) con el calor que hacía para que no nos picasen. Al hacerlo saber en recepción por la mañana y pedir un cambio de habitación, se nos dijo que no tenían disponibles y que nos daban un aparatito de esos que se ponen en el enchufe para los mosquitos, que nos lo pondrían cuando limpiasen la habitación. Cuando volvimos por la tarde, el aparato no estaba puesto y maté otros 4 mosquitos… por la noche volvimos a no poder dormir por este motivo. El hotel es bonito, pero las habitaciones a nivel de equipamiento y comodidades son de mediados del siglo xx y la dirección y recepción dejan mucho que desear. Una pena, porque insisto en que el hotel es si es bonito pero nunca más volveremos. Hemos estado dos noches y no hemos podido dormir ninguna de las dos. Un horror

Hotel con con mucho a mejorar, una pena tener una experiencia tan regular en un sitio tan bonito... el entrono y la infraestructura en si son muy bonitos pero la comodidad que al final es lo que cuenta ya no es nada bonito.... habitaciones NO CLIMATIZADAS ni aire ni ventilador, colchones de muelles que se sienten y hacen ruido, tele antigua con imagen deteriorada, bañera manchada en fin estado de abandono y carisimo no volveré. 135 euros una habitación en esas condiciones es un autentico abuso.

This is a delightful hotel, very quirky, with beautiful decor, very close to the airport, but also very quiet as it's slightly off the beaten track. The location is perfect for the airport, but there isn't anything else around. We ended up booking this at the last minute because our reservations in Las Palmas fell through, and the following day we were flying home. I accidentally booked for 1 person, not 2, so our room was pretty basic, with 2 single beds, although very comfortable. We paid 160Euros, but I've since seen it on other sites for less. There's a very nice sitting room that guests can use, full of personal items belonging to the owners, so I really wouldn't recommend this place for kids. The pool was very pleasant with limited sun beds, but there are deck chairs and a covered sitting area. They have a small honesty bar next to the pool for coffee, but it was very confusing as to what was available; I think we ended up drinking someone else's wine! I got the feeling that the owners liked the place to be cleared out pretty sharpish around check out time, and they did ask if they could get to our room before check out, which was fine, as we were relaxing by the pool. Dinner has to be preordered, which we didn't realise, but they managed to find some chicken for us, which was fine; by this point, all we wanted was a room and a meal before leaving for the airport in the morning. I don't think they serve lunch, so it gets pretty quiet during the day, and there really is nowhere near to go, so I think guests end up having to sort out lunch / snacks for themselves. I liked the interiors, full of antiques, a lot of fake flowers, but all nicely done. I don't think I'd want to stay here again for more than 1 night, but it's a good stopover if you're doing the circuit around the Island. Breakfast was buffet, all fine, served with very nice china in a nice setting.
