Premier Inn Llandudno (Glan-Conwy)

An excellent professionally run hotel. All staff without exception were efficient and very welcoming. They were all dedicated to giving the best service possible- both in the hotel and also in the restaurant. Hotel was kept very clean and service was the best we’ve seen anywhere ( and we’ve been to many Premier Inns all over the UK) The most endearing aspect was the friendly welcoming and supportive atmosphere of all the staff there. We were going to arrive late due to delays with our ferry sailing from Ireland. We rang to explain and managed to arrange meals to be ready for us. A lovely lady, Amanda, greeted us and, even though the restaurant was closed, fed us and allowed us to buy a couple of drinks, and one to take to our room! The room was fantastic and the staff great and helpful. We will return, hopefully not as late next time!

Accommodation itself is as you would expect from a Premier Inn. Reception staff courteous and friendly. Room clean and warm. Restaurant however was very disappointing this time. Having explained to 4 staff members that I had had surgery requiring a significant break before a main of at least 30 minutes, it came after 30 seconds. Hence I couldn’t eat it, the food was wasted and I had no hot dinner. This had not happened on my previous stays in this hotel and as I spend on average 3 nights a week in premier inns, I find the understanding so different in all. I didn’t complain. I just find the lack of care for special adjustments upsetting.

Not good: they don’t have simple things like an iron & ironing board, they have that harsh fluorescent lighting, the hairdryer barely worked, the room was too cold, limited channels on the TV, the heating was slow to work and made a heck of a noise throughout the night. There’s mould around the top of the hand wash pump. On the plus side; It was quiet and the bed was comfy, and the water was hot. Wouldn’t return though.

We’ve stayed here a number of times over the years. It’s in a decent location near Llandudno, always reasonably priced and with very comfy bed. You don’t need much more for an overnight stop. But what would improve things is to have more than one hand towel and have some heating in the bathroom. Oh, and stop the wall heater in the bedroom from clicking while it heats up – it goes on for minutes and is really irritating. However, this visit was let down by the quality of the breakfast. Bacon so underdone, it was all but raw. No way were we eating that. On the other hand, black pudding was so overcooked, it was tough and rubbery – you could probably have used it as an ice hockey puck. Scrambled egg was similarly unpleasantly overcooked.

We are still at this hotel it's the second time being here we have booked an accessible room as my husband is in a wheelchair. From the to having breakfast we cant find any fault this hotel We always book prrmier inn This hotel was a good bace to be as it's close Bangor holyhead Anglesey and a few other places
