The Broadway Columbia - a DoubleTree by Hilton

I visited Columbia to spend time with granddaughter at MU. It was between this hotel and The Tiger. Next visit will be at The Tiger if Ocean (if that’s really her name) still is employed here at the front desk. She was not only Rude to me she was Rude to an elderly couple after us. Who says to a guest: Do I have to go over this again with you. In a hateful voice. This person has no business being at the front desk. This attitude set the tone for a very disappointing stay at this hotel. Positive: nice restaurant and rooftop bar. Room was clean and comfy bed.

I will share my experience with those who want to choose this hotel. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and on the second day, I asked them to change my bedsheets as I got an itchy scalp. My scalp was killing me and I asked them again. After 10 days that I even couldn't imagine I found out that I got lice and what do you think I got from? I called the hotel and told them about my situation. The manager insisted that they are very strict about their cleanliness and this is impossible. I can't believe that even she didn't apologize to me. I told her that I was going to call a lawyer and she said ok give your lawyer my number. How rude and irresponsible. Even she didn't care that I was going to publish this picture and write a very negative review. Yes, this is how they value their customers.

From the minute I pulled up to the front door, I was so happy I chose this hotel! The valet, John, was welcoming and so helpful and the front desk manager, Zhawn, couldn't be more professional and pleasant. The warm Hilton cookie is always a pleasant surprise too! After handing John my car keys and ordering a mushroom swiss burger from the lobby restaurant, I went up to my gorgeous room with an incredible view of the Columbia nightlife on Broadway Street. My burger was delicious and the TV was large and easy to use, the bedding was perfect and the room cool, sparkling clean and comfortable. The next morning, the cleaning staff was so polite and friendly and wished me a great day. A perfect stay. Thank you and I can't wait to go back.

Of all the times I have stayed at this property, which likely is near a dozen, I've never had such a rude front desk attendant than Payton. It boggles the mind how one person can ruin a consistent experience in a matter of minutes, but it is what it is. Gone from the front desk for extended periods only to ignore guests for radio transmissions. Not what I'd call my Hilton experience.

The best place to stay in Columbia! Jared Klarfeld delivered the best experience I’ve ever experienced with a conference. The Broadway exceed our expectations and we’ll be back again! Daily execution of our seminar what flawless. Thank you, Katherine and Micah! The food served was top notch! The Executive Chef, Jeff Guin and his team exceeded all expectations. Denise and her extraordinary housekeeping team kept diligent routines to many requests of service. Thank you! Clint and Jared were great corresponding efforts with our check-in. All keys were laid out alphabetically on a welcome table. This could have been very difficult but, they couldn’t have made it more sufficient and easy on me. Johnny with Front Office delivered specialty amenities to our VIPs prior to their arrival. Shoutout to Aric Jarvis! You made it all come together. Thank you for coming off the specialty parking for our shuttle service. 10 OUT OF 10!!! I may even get a promotion for how well our visit to Columbia was. Thank you for the experience and memories. This “conference”was one for the books.

This is my favorite place to stay in Columbia. The front desk folks are always professional and friendly. The fitness center was recently renovated and the restaurant and bar are convenient yet quiet. To top it off, there is a rooftop bar for entertaining guests. Conveniently located in downtown Columbia, it’s an easy walk to many of Columbia’s best restaurants and bars.

Located right on the man ***** of downtown Columbia, we liked the fact that we could walk to restaurants nearby. We had a drink on the rooftop and the service and ambiance were nice. Room was quite and bed was comfy. Rooms are starting to show their age. You park in the adjacent garage and they charge you $5 bucks a day. Was a pretty place to stay

Surprisingly great! Well positioned in downtown CoMo next to Willie’s bar and many others. About a 25 minute walk through the campus to Faurot Field. Very helpful staff and fun rooftop bar. Room was comfortable and clean. Overall just a great overall product. You can tell it’s managed well. We will be back!

I had chosen The Broadway because of this it’s proximity to Boone Hospital. My mother had been taken in by ambulance and I needed a place to stay for the night. Upon arrival we were greeted by extremely nice front desk employees and a HORRIBLE sewer smell encompassing the whole lobby area. We got to our room to shower, the shower curtain was lined with black mold and disgusting. Needing to eat we went to the main floor restaurant and had a lovely dinner with a very nice server. At this point it was around 8:30. Front desk and our server said the upstairs had a lounge/bar area that was open until 11 so we decided to go up, have a couple drinks and unwind for the evening before bed. This is where it got even worse than the horrible sewer smell. The young manager working the bar area was EXTREMELY rude and shouldn’t be working with the public. He told us that he was closing because he hadn’t even made $500 in sales that night and he didn’t want to deal with this because he had a test to take in the morning. There were several people sitting at the outside part of the bar and he was serving them but wanted us to go. I remained calm with him but he seriously could use a lesson on how to manage a bar and how to deal with people. My mom was on deaths door and for him to complain about the evenings sales and his test the next morning should never have been burdens aired to us, we had our own problems and were at this establishment to try to relax and have a drink. His helper was very nice but the manager himself was arrogant, off putting and seriously entitled as if he owns that bar
