Mersea Island Holiday Park

Sadly we had to leave 2 days early. We were swarmed by wasps, other flying insects and the decking was dirty and housing nests of them. We booked the luxuxy caravan (it wasn't luxury) as it came with a veranda. We were not able to Use this as it was full of wasps. On arrival there was a broken glass left on the table. The caravan itself was clean. Fridge had broken parts and every time you flushed the toilet the sink bubbled up. Beds were hard and thin matress, curtains lets so much light through. Very quiet park, swimming pool was only 0.9 meters and small so not great if you are looking to properly swim. The park itself was clean although bins were overflowing. The walk to the bit of beach was nice. You will need a car as public transport is not great and the nearest big supermarket is about a 20 min drive.

Not what was advertised at all. The carvan was Nothing like described. I was very basic and needs a lot of TLC. The carpet was stained and dirty the pillows on the sofa dirty and fraying. The photos online and the actual accommodation are worlds apart. My partner is a dont complaint guy so we didnt. It was somewhere to rest thats it. But woukd never stay again. The park is very quite and on a lovely location near the beach. What a shame the van let down the park as a whole.

Had a comfy beak with my mum and sister. Lovely quite very clean holiday park. Great value for money accomodation was comfy and had everything we needed for our 4 day break. Staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely, quiet park. Very helpful, nice and kind staff in all areas. Food was excellent in the Muddy Duck. The park and all facilities, including the pool, are clean. Excellent for families: onsite facilities for play and also the beach and country park on the doorstep for walks and adventures!

Mersea a gem The accommodation was spotless. Very comfortable bed, nice crisp bed linen. Loved the welcome pack. All staff went out of their way to be helpful. Loved the pool. Basic tasty food at the Muddy duck. So quiet and peaceful. A haven of nature, full of birdsong. Would definitely stay again. Very good value for money
