An excellent stay at McCarthys where my mum and I felt totally at home in a family atmosphere . We had a superior room on the top floor, the bedding was very comfortable and we had a fab L shaped sofa to watch the Olympics in the evenings! The breakfast was ‘grand’ and the service perfect. The owner - as well as all the staff - was extremely friendly with us at at times and always accommodating. The bnb is always ideally located , not far from the centre , the river and some great places to eat. There is also a shopping centre very nearby plus the bus stop for the coach to Dublin airport is around the corner which was very practical. We had a lovely memory trip in Clonmel and staying here highly contributed to it.

Great location walking distance to Main Street and pubs and shops. Hotel has cozy charm and hosts happy to please. Tierneys pub was recommended and it was a perfect pick for a beer and a casual meal. We needed parking and McCarthy’s has ample parking adjacent to the building.

Perfect location but still quiet in the bedrooms despite being just off the Main Street in the town. Great hearty breakfast and friendly hosts. A welcoming place. 5-10min walk from bus station. Definitely recommend.

We didn't even stay there but the host came to our rescue big style. We had booked another town centre hotel and on arrival we found the reason there was no off street parking for our motorcycles was because on a Saturday night it was a nightclub! Even though we weren't staying with him, he parked our bikes in his car park and wouldn't take a penny for it. I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to you Sir and even though we didn't stay this time, I'm sure it would be pleasure to stay with such a helpful and caring host. Absolutely loved our stay at McCarthys B and B! Lovely place with lots of history, just off the main street and very close all the amenities . Debbie and Robin were perfect hosts and made us feel welcome offering lots of advice and suggesting many interesting places to visit whilst in Clomnel. The room was spotless and the breakfast was amazing ! Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to returning next year . Thank you !
