Hotel Minella & Leisure Centre

Very very Rude staff especially the receptionist she was very ignorant and very rude I will never again stay in this hotel food had flies lightin on it over it being let sit to long before being served the doorman kept following us to our rooms the food was cold and dry we asked for medium well done steak came out like a rock couldn’t chew it and well done it was asked for food to be replaced and it look 20 minutes and cold ,the rooms very cold no working tv very very bad service do not waste ur money ! Absolutely ridiculous behaviour and very bad attitudes all around very upset !

The food was very good, but unfortunately the overall experience was let down by the unacceptable behaviour of the owner, John Nallen. He was noticeably rude to a young waitress who was doing her best to serve our table. Despite his behaviour, she tried to remain professional throughout and was not at fault in any way. It was upsetting to witness such unprofessional treatment of staff, especially in front of guests. A disappointing experience despite the quality of the food during our visit this Wednesday afternoon.

The cleanleness is second to none beautiful gardens and river walk but the bar staff and waiting staff are not trained, after a horrible meal i looked for a cuppachino 2 girls went behind the bar and were laughing trying to make my coffey which they guite clearly didnt know how to make... i told them to forget it then i left never to return when there is lots of other places to dine with respect

Do not stay here!!!! I wish I could give this 0 stars The most rude management I have ever met at a hotel stay - John and Elizabeth clearly show they do not know how to run a hotel with any regard to customer service. They were hostile, unempathetic and showed zero accountability for mistakes or mishaps they made which completely inconvenienced my stay. They prioritize their “regular” gym members, they asked my sister to get off a spin bike which she was put on a wait list for and asked her to get off when the regular joined the class late because “if were you a regular to a gym class wouldn’t you expect another person to get off the bike?” No Elizabeth - there are rules and waitlists for a reason and you don’t show priority for someone who didn’t book ahead or joined late. Hotel staff also walked into the room without knocking several times. When this was brought up to management they didn’t care and said that’s not their fault. What if someone was changing or in the showers? That’s ridiculous. Hotel staff thought nobody was in the room, a clear miscommunication on their side with no follow up apology. The hotel room interior is gross anyways. Looks like it was designed 50 years and literally no updated furniture or Design. Only book here if you wish to have a terrible stay in Tipp. Good luck and good riddance to this place

Cannot fault anything, Helpful friendly staff, excellent food, excellent rooms. Gardens lovely for a walk and river walk. Leisure centre perfect. Ten minute walk takes you into Clonmel, good shopping.i will definitely be returning again

Pros: The building itself is beautiful, with a great location and excellent leisure facilities, including a well-equipped spa. The food was consistently good, and the beds were very comfortable, we slept well every night. The bar and leisure facilities staff were also very welcoming! Cons: Unfortunately, the rest of the staff left much to be desired. Many seemed inexperienced, almost as if the hotel were being run by untrained teenagers. Some of the older staff were either unhelpful or non-committal, which made interactions frustrating. Our bill was also incorrect multiple times, and not once did we receive an apology for the inconvenience. We would have expected a greater level of professionalism from a 4 star hotel. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay.
