The hotel is situated in a pedestrian area, very hard to find but very convenient for shops and restaurants. Upon arrival we were asked to pay the amount we already paid by card again, now in cash: the desk employee explained that this was because ******* or any other platform used the amount that it receives as a bond in case the guest doesn’t show up. Internet was said not to work so that was the reason payment could only take place in cash (but they dis know our details …) ******* would credit the amount by bank to us. We refused to pay the amount twice (we showed proof of our digital payment) and the employee said we could go to the room and that her boss would contact us the next day.
The room was clean, but VERY hot and airconditioning wasn’t functioning. We had the feeling that it wouldn’t be safe when fire were to break out.
All in all, we left the tourist tax at the reception the next morning as we had to leave early. To date, nobody from the hotel has contacted us, but we would not go there again, since we didn’t feel welcome guests.
