A midweek in beautiful Clarens at one of the most luxurious and beautiful stays in Clarens. Our hosts, Johan and Tim were friendly and professional offering plentiful information for the best dining, activities and outings in and around Clarens. The accommodation is of 5* quality. The setting is peaceful with a view of the mountains. The gardens are beautiful and serene. A must visit for any romantic getaway.

Everything from the moment we arrived was just 10/10. The hospitality was top-notch, going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Tim was incredibly responsive to our needs, providing thoughtful recommendations and making our experience truly unforgettable. We can't wait to go back to Lilliput House.

Recently stayed at the newly renovated Liliput House for 2 nights in early February. Every detail of the house was perfectly executed by Tim & Johan and it’s clear they take pride in providing the most excellent stay for their guests. The view from the home is beautiful and it’s an easy walk into town for shopping or restaurants as well as easy walk to the Clarens trails. The breakfast that was provided was not only ample, delicious, and beautifully presented, but the dining area and home where the other rooms are located are also wonderfully decorated. Tim was an amazing host also giving us great information about our day hike at Golden Gate National Park and dining recommendations. Such a relaxing and wonderful stay, thank you!!

Das kleine Künstlerstädtchen Clarens ist einen Aufenthalt wert und wer im B&B Patcham Place & Liliput House übernachtet, macht alles richtig! Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, das (Boxspring) Bett sehr bequem und mit toller Bettwäsche ausgestattet. Zum Zimmer 3 z.B. gehört auch ein kleiner Balkon, von wo man eine herrliche Sicht auf die nahe liegenden Berge hat. Außergewöhnlich ist das Frühstück in Räumen, die von den Besitzern Tim und John mit einer leidenschaftlichen Detailverliebtheit eingerichtet sind. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Haus liegt schräg gegenüber der Police Station und die nahegelegenen Restaurants und Cafés erreicht man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß. Schade, dass wir hier nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten.

We stayed for 2 nights and would love to have stayed longer. Johan and Tim went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The breakfasts were delicious and the view sublime. Would love to go back!

What a lovely experience!! Johan and Tim, you guys are the best! The attention to detail was amazing! The breakfast was to die for!!! The best of all, park your car and explore the beautiful town of Clarence by foot! Do not forget to pack your golf clubs! The course and club are beautiful!! Hope to see you soon again!!! Xxx

Johan and Tim set the standard very high. They were both wonderful hosts and the accommodations were next level. Attention to detail was top notch. Tim's breakfast was fantastic, and Johan was always ready with advice and and good conversation. 100%

We had the most wonderful stay at Johann and Tim’s bed-and-breakfast in Clarens, South Africa. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was not just comfortable but truly special. Johann and Tim’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness made our visit unforgettable. Each morning, the breakfast was a culinary delight—a new adventure that we eagerly looked forward to. Every meal was beautifully presented, delicious, and clearly made with love and care, setting the perfect tone for the day ahead. Their knowledge of the area is outstanding. Johann and Tim introduced us to hidden gems we wouldn’t have found on our own—quaint shops, breathtaking hiking trails, and local spots that truly showcase the magic of Clarens. Their recommendations turned our trip into an adventure of discovery. We can’t recommend them enough!
