A high bank ocean front home, perched on a perfect plot of bluff where the stream meets the sea. "The Hideaway House" is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Tucked away at the end of a road beyond our award-winning rental community, with unobstructed views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, including ship traffic, Bald Eagles nesting in nearby trees, and the occasional pod of whales. This sweet home is tastefully furnished, private and secluded, and exceptionally clean and comfortable. It has everything you need to enjoy some Pacific Northwest life with your loved ones including wifi internet, wood burning wood stove, well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, BBQ grill on the back porch, solarium sitting room, a big grassy yard... and a ton of nature trails as well as a private hike to the beach if you're adventure seeking! You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles. The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market. There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining. The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive.
