Comfortable and compact Booked a double room online for myself priced £144. My husband decided to join me and there was an extra charge of £30. I needed an early start as was offered porridge, a banana and a yoghurt takeaway. My husband went for breakfast and there was very little in the way of offerings which was little disappointing. The room was comfortable and quiet and very close to Cunsey if you are booking for The Lap.

Holidaying in the area for a long weekend with friends, booked this place a couple of weeks in advance with the hope of a good lunch and was not disappointed. Lovely food and great service from what seemed like a family run business , nothing more to be said. Thank you all!

An extremely love A truly fabtastic stay!!! I took part in "The Lap" 47 mile ultramarathon on the Saturday and was booked to stay Friday through to checkout on Sunday. I actually finished work early and asked if i could add a day on. The hosts were very accommodating and so i stayed an extra night. When i got there, the staff were very welcoming, the bar was fully stocked with lots of drinks and crisps too. The room was very comfortable, great bathroom and very comfy bed. The service was excellent. The room was made everyday and restocked. Fantastic!! Evening Meal was gorgeous. Very high quality food and a good selection. Breakfast was impossible for me as i had to leave at 5am for the race so the hosts made me a breakfast bag, which i thought was very kind of them. Breakfast the Sunday morning was very nice. Good selection if cereals, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, juices etc. I VERY HIGHLY recommend the Cuckoo Brow not only for the comfort and location to the Lake Windermere, but the hosts too. Very very lovely people who make your stay very comfortable. Im doing The Lap again next year and my girlfriend has already booked our stay here for 2026 ( Miss Jackson) so that shows you how good it is.

We had a 3 night stay at Cuckoo Brow Inn. The property is clean and full of character, the food is amazing and varied. The beds were so comfortable no problem sleeping at all. The Inn is family run and they cannot do enough for you, welcoming, friendly and thoughtful. The Inn is on the quiet side of Windemere Lake but is easy to get across the lake by ferry. While there it was my husbands birthday and the family went out of there way to celebrate by putting balloons, banner and chocolates in our room and also singing happy birthday and putting a candle on a pudding at our evening meal. We will definitely be staying with them again and recommending the Inn to others. Thank you to all at Cuckoo Brow Inn.

Lovely welcome and helped with my bag. The room was large warm and very comfortable. Food and service was excellent can’t fault anything!
