Hotel was very handily situated in the town centre , clean with tea/coffee making facilities and had parking opposite (which is extra). The seagullls where very noisy .

Location was great for all amenities
Staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms are so stuffy it was hot and unpleasant to sleep windows only open 2 inches and the fans did very little to cool the room! Probably won’t use travelodhe again because it was so uncomfortable in the heat

What a lovely employee Lorraine is losts of help would definitely come again welcoming and what a star helped me massive and my mate will come again 5 stars from me and my mate brilliant experience and excellent customer service couldn’t of help us anymore if she tried thanks again

Lovely place and the staff were brilliant friendly really helpful couldn’t fault any of them Lorraine was always really helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome excellent service and couldn’t fault the place and the staff really pleased

The rooms are very clean and tidy, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They ask you how you ate everything they see you. The whole building is very clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The TV and kettle are very easy to use. Also the Internet is easy to pay for.

I would like to say I am extremely pleased with 2 amazing members of staff - Loraine & Julie who went out of their way to help me and my lovely wife with a booking issue, without there help I wouldn’t have been able to stay at Travelodge - Clacton-on-Sea today, we bought them a little something to say a big thank you which in my opinion goes a long way! Highly recommended with friendly staff, great location with nearby shops and Seafront 😊

Reception was very cold to the point of making you feel uncomfortable. However we have stayed at many Travelodge we new the ropes. The rooms have had a refit in the last few years. Unfortunately the level of cleaning & maintenance was poor. Soap dispensers broke NO soap, bin broken with sharp rusty break, toilet seat loose, only one part used toilet roll, bathroom floor unclean, bedroom window latch inop ( Jam with cardboard) Mark on wall / carpet , feedback card not filled out ! Not proud to be identified? Marie ! The design of this Travelodge doesn’t spring where the entrance is maybe bring the name out to the front canopy as shop next door.

Frequently visit here. Pleasant experience every time. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Building always clean and fresh. Rooms comfortable and relaxing. Exceptional value, often less than £40 per night.

Horrendous hotel wouldn’t recommend at all. Rooms were dirty and clothes from previous occupants still in the room. Bed smelt of smoke and damp. Facilities in the room were ok the toilet wouldn’t flush so had to use reception toilet seaview was sabotaged with the scaffold
