Our house is located in a quite, beautiful neighborhood. It is a short distance to the beach (only 1 mile to the beach). The backyard backs up to the Bethany Canal. It feels more like a home than a summer rental. From June 1st to September 5th , weekly rentals only - Saturday - Saturday. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffeemaker, etc. It is shabby-chic with granite countertops, and open shelving, and connects to the family room. The living areas are very comfy with a pottery barn feel and cozy leather furniture with hardwood floors throughout. Dining area off kitchen with extra dishes for a large family. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, full private bath, T.V, and DVD player. The other 3 bedrooms have comfortable queen beds and share an additional full bath. All bedrooms have ceiling fans for additional comfort. Enjoy cocktails on the large deck, and cook on the grill while watching friends or kids kayak in the canal. The backyard is a bird lovers' paradise that feels and looks like a nature reserve. There is a majestic Blue Heron living there that we named Ted! You can also leave your car in the driveway and take the fun and convenient trolley to town and the beach. It cost a whopping quarter to ride. The trolley runs 9 am - 10 pm every 30 minutes. Kitchen has refrigerator, 2 coffee makers, Keurig coffee maker, toasters, blender, mixers, microwave oven, stove, dishwasher, and other items needed for making large meals. There is an extra refrigerator in the laundry room off the kitchen.Included are many sets of cookware, silverware, serving bowls, crystal wine glasses, glasses, plastic glasses, and porcelain dishes for serving formal meals. There are four large extra shelves in the kitchen for storage of renters' food.The house is 3,000 sq feet and decorated in a nautical theme with wicker and solid wood furniture made in North Carolina. The beds are very comfortable with memory foam mattresses and have decorative quilts. The house has new central air-conditioning units for each level, so remains very cool in the summertime. There are 3 steps to get into the house and a stairlift available for disabled persons to ride to the upper level. The front porch has four rocking chairs and there are many more outdoor tables and chairs to the right side of the house. Laundry room has washer/dryer and extra refrigerator. For the use of renters, the house is stocked with laundry detergent, fabric softener, household cleaning products, trash bags, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, Kleenex, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, and spices. All king-sized beds can be pulled apart to make 2 twin beds. The beds are very comfortable and most have memory foam toppers. This spacious contemporary condo is bright, clean, sunny and cheerful with gorgeous ocean views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom and the large private balcony. You can relax while overlooking the promenade, the dunes, and the wide stretch of beach and ocean. While drinking our coffee in the morning, we watch the playful dolphins below as the sun rises over the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. We bought a new king size bed for the master bedroom and replaced one of the regular standard-size beds in the second bedroom with a queen-size bed. So now the condo has a king-size bed in the master bedroom, and one standard-size bed and one queen-size bed in the second bedroom, making enough room for 6 people to sleep comfortably. We also purchased two 90' sofas for the living room so if someone wants to sleep separately, they can sleep on one of the sofas in the living room. We purchased a new contemporary dining room set with six chairs. All beds have new comforter sets making the entire condo very clean and fresh.We have also purchased three new televisions, one for each bedroom and the living room. They have flat screens and hang on the walls, making for more spacious living.In addition to repainting the entire condo, we replaced the window treatments in the master bedroom. They now have beautiful contemporary shutters.We have replaced the entire set of balcony door and windows across the front of the balcony and back into the master bedroom. It had become faulty and now it is working beautifully and the glass windows and door are perfectly clear. The washer/dryer and the dishwasher in the kitchen have been replaced with new ones. The refrigerator has also been replaced.The hall bathroom and the kitchen have recently been renovated. New porcelain tile floors were added throughout the living room, dining room, hallway and kitchen. We also opened up the kitchen by knocking out two walls giving a more open feel to the condo. We are excited about our new look. We renovated the master bathroom also!In 2018 we placed keyless locks on our outside door, making keyless entry possible. No more keys to return to the owner after your stay.We love the wide stretch of private beach for Sea Colony guests only. There are life guards on the beach in the summer. We have filled our beach locker in the first floor garage with beach chairs and toys which are available to you during your stay in our condo. It is much less crowded than the beach in town, and much much less crowded than Rehobeth or Ocean City beaches. Sea Colony has 24-hour security. A vacation in Sea Colony can run the gamut from beach fun to tax-free shopping to golfing, tennis and water sports. The privacy of the 'quiet resort' allows guests to sunbathe and enjoy the soothing ocean breezes in peace. Amusement parks and outlet shopping centers are not far and they provide more variety of family-friendly fun. This world-class resort tennis facility offers an astounding 34 courts along with tennis clinics, camps and lessons by teaching professionals. Walk on the promenade and into one of the pools or to the beach access points which makes going to and from the beach extremely easy. Our building is close to the center building of the complex (Edgewater House). Walk to the Edgewater House and enjoy one of the indoor pools, indoor hot tub, sauna, exercise/weight room, lockers and showers. The Edgewater House is also the hub of summer season activities, Oceanside Deli, outdoor snack bar, Starbucks coffee/drink station, small store, live music, bingo, movies on the beach, bonfires, etc.During the summer season Sea Colony provides a trolly car system in order to access the tennis complex, outside tennis courts, pickle ball courts, another large indoor gym, and other West side attractions. There are two total parking passes for the condo. One designated covered parking space under the building near the elevators. Vehicles must not be taller than six feet, including roof-top carriers. The other parking spot is in the main lots in any spot without a reserved number.
