The house has lots of history due to its location. We're 5 houses down from the Perkins Stone Mansion (founding family of Akron). The grounds once provided food and shelter for sheep and horses herded by the great abolitionist John Brown. It now has become a retreat for both of us, and 3 of the best cats you'll ever meet! Our past visitors have called the house "elegant, whimsical, friendly, and warm." Also, our past guests have said "even better in person then the pictures!". The house has privacy from the busy Copley Road it faces, and the well-built walls and floors help keep the noise down. New plumbing and electrical work make showers and multi-media playing awesome! Loose food remnants and liquids in the cart will attract rodents, bees, flies, and maggots, not to mention - smell very badly if pickup doesn't come for a few days.= The smaller wheeled cart is marked for RECYCLE ONLY. The City of Akron requires that boxes be flattened and bottles/containers emptied. Used food containers must have all food remnants removed. Please DO NOT put regular household trash into the recycle bin or place any items inside other bags. Acceptable items as defined by the City are identified on the label located on the lid of the recycle bin.In addition to moving carts to/from the curb for weekly trash service, we may stop at the property to perform minor but necessary exterior maintenance, such as lawn mowing, snow removal, or other tasks.
