Buton Backpacker Lodge

Good value for money, clean rooms, friendly staff........

The lodge is clean and quiet. The capsule beds are the best set-up I have seen outside Japan: door, fan, soft and bright lights, shelf and socket. But the mattresses are thin foam, not very comfortable. The manager, Ibu Rosa, is pleasant and helpful. The location, only 6 minutes walk from the train station, on a quiet side street. There were no meals served during my stay. I booked a single room on ***********. When I arrived it turned out to be a capsule in a dormitory. I have contacted *********** but they have not corrected this misinformation. The lodge is not easy to find. There is only a small sign saying Buton on the street, no indication that it provides accommodation. I suspect that the owner wants to discourage walk-ins and control the money flow.
