Paris Village Apartments

Wij verbleven hier 14 dagen in het kleinschalige en gastvrije Paris Village. Een geweldige accommodatie waarin als kan en niks hoeft. Angeliki (de beheerder) is vrijwel de gehele dag aanwezig en aanspreekbaar. Niets is haar te veel om je een geweldige vakantie te bezorgen. Als je vragen hebt, met dingen zit, tips wilt hebben, Griekse woordjes wilt leren, spullen nodig hebt. Het wordt altijd snel en klantgericht opgelost. Vooral haar tip over de Olive Tour in Androussa is een regelrechte aanrader voor alles wat je wilt weten, zien en proeven over olijven. Het vertrek met afscheid van Angeliki viel ons eigenlijk ook best zwaar. Dat zegt alles. Bij aankomst krijg je een mand met lokale specialiteiten en lekkernijen. De Wifi-kwaliteit over het gehele complex is uitstekend. Schoonmaak en handdoekenwissel 3 keer per week, wat voldoende is. In Chrani zelf is op zich weinig te beleven, maar er zijn wel enige gezellige en goede restaurantjes in het dorp en een ruim gesorteerde supermarkt op loopafstand. Parkeergelegenheid op het complex is er in de regel voldoende. Het appartement wat wij hadden was op de bovenverdieping naast het zwembad en bevatte alles wat wij nodig hadden met voldoende ruimte. Daarbij hadden we uitzicht, een eigen balkon en parasol. Waterkoker, oven, vriezer, koelkast en TV aanwezig. Airco - indien gewenst - voor additioneel 4 euro per nacht. Bij warm weer aan te bevelen. Badkamer voor Griekse begrippen ruim en modern. De beach bar serveert alle drankjes gedurende de dag en je kunt er qua eten alleen tosti's krijgen. Ook ontbijt indien gewenst is verkrijgbaar. Als je iets bestelt wordt het als je wilt bij je appartement geserveerd. Erg luxe. Zwembad is ruim, schoon en uitnodigend. We hebben er in ieder geval dagelijks dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. Er is een boekenkast, spelletjes, en een mand met allerlei (kinder)zwembad speelgoed. Genoeg ligbedden, parasols en schaduw toen wij er waren. Houd er rekening mee dat er gezinnen met kinderen (kunnen) zijn, die overdag rondom het zwembad voor enig rumoer kunnen zorgen. Merendeels is het complex erg rustig, maar dit kan variëren, naar gelang de gasten met kinderen. Als je last mocht hebben: Maak het gewoon bespreekbaar en het wordt opgelost!

Wij hebben in augustus 2022 twee weken bij Paris Village verbleven. Op zich een aardig parkje wat er van de buitenkant mooi uit ziet. Binnenkant van de appartementen moeten nodig gerenoveerd worden. Bedden zijn behoorlijk hard en veren zijn voelbaar. Slecht geslapen. De beheerders van het complex wonen er ook. Dat is aan de ene kant fijn omdat je indien nodig wat kan vragen. Aan de andere kant heb je die volledige privacy en hadden wij het gevoel dat er op je gelet werd. Met name tussen 15.00-17.30 wanneer het quit time / siësta is en de kinderen in het zwembad of playground geen geluid / herrie mogen maken. Dat is wel lastig uit te leggen aan vakantie vierende kinderen. Vooral geschikt complex voor gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Die van ons waren 9 en 12. Er waren geen leeftijdsgenoten en niet veel voor ze te doen.

Despite a late arrival, we were personally and warmly greeted by Wim, who explained everything we needed to know. The hotel is beautifully presented and organised. The atmosphere is friendly and peaceful. Angela and Wim went the extra mile to ensure we had a lovely stay, including arranging car hire before our arrival to helping us to order takeaways! They really couldn’t do enough for us!! They advised and helped us to plan the best places to visit. They were always available to help. It’s a nice location but quiet. Having a car does help but there are several restaurants, cafes, a bakery, and a supermarket within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel. There aren’t many places where we say we would visit again, but this is definitely one of them! Thank you both so much.

This was our 2nd visit to Paris Village & won’t be our last! You can enjoy the fruits & veg from the beautifully kept gardens to cook & eat in your spotlessly clean apartments followed by a relax by the lovely pool whilst kids can have fun in the play area. Staff are extremely warm, welcoming & helpful. Amenities & beach are a just 2 min walk & a hire car is a must to explore this beautiful area of the Peloponnese. It’s a fabulously perfect place for a Greek break!!

Where do I start? We are a family of four: 2 parents and 2 sixteen year olds. We all prefer a quieter complex where we're not competing for sun loungers/chairs around the pool and where guests are not rising at the crack of dawn to put towels on sunbeds. There was no chance of that here. In fact, there were several occasions when we were the only people around/in the pool. Small, quiet but really friendly. We arrived around 8:30/9pm, we were greeted personally and shown to our apartment where we had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us. The grounds are lovely, lots of greenery and a sprinkling of small buildings housing a couple of apartments each - a nice change from the larger blocks you often get. The resort itself is small and quiet. There are a few beach bars where you can grab a sunbed for the day and there are a few tavernas locally. Choice is restricted but we knew that before we went. The pool bar serves toasted sandwiches and various drinks/ice creams which was sufficient for us, especially as there's a supermarket and a bakery a couple of hundred meters along the road. Angela couldn't have been more helpful. We wanted to hire a car which she sorted for us and recommended local attractions to visit. We followed her advice and had the best day out. The apartment had highly efficient air con in both bedrooms (separately controlled) and all we needed for our stay. We had no intention of cooking a full meal but if we'd wanted to, we could've cooked a basic meal. The bathroom was more of a wet room as there was no shower screen/curtain but that was not a problem for us. The decor is more interesting than the plain white you often find in Greek apartments so it had a bit of character. Each apartment has an outdoor area and guests can help themselves to the fruit from trees in the grounds. Each room also has and information book detailing helpful info about the complex, local attractions, useful phrases etc. The only slight negative point anyone had was that the toilet was mounted at a slight angle in our apartment and as my husband is larger in build, he found this meant his leg collided with the toilet roll holder. Not a big deal by anyone's standard and really is nitpicking but that was the only very tiny negative. Hopefully, you'll see that as and indication of the quality of this accommodation. We loved it and it was the perfect post GCSE downtime get away, exactly what all four of us needed. In summary, this is a perfect place for those looking for a low key, quiet getaway, a good base to explore the peninsula. If you're looking for a lively resort with lots to do, water sports and late night bars/clubs, this one is not for you.
