This prime setting makes it an ideal choice for travelers eager to explore the local culinary scene. Upon entering the hotel, guests are greeted by spacious rooms that provide a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The rooms are well-appointed with high-quality toiletries, including shampoo, body wash, conditioner, lotion, and hand wash. Additional amenities such as slippers, a fridge, a hairdryer, and tissues ensure a convenient and pleasant stay. A unique feature of Mercure Jiefangbei is the laundry room located on the 14th floor, equipped with four washers and four dryers. This facility is perfect for guests who need to refresh their wardrobe during their stay. The room also offers other types of dryers, along with paper bags and mineral water for those waiting for their laundry. The hotel’s afternoon tea service is a delightful experience, offering a variety of treats. Guests can enjoy small mochi and yogurt one day, followed by small egg tarts with yogurt the next. These thoughtful touches add to the overall charm of the hotel. Breakfast at Mercure Jiefangbei predominantly features Chinese-style options, with highlights including the Chongqing xiao mian, expertly prepared by a friendly aunty, and soft, tiny cakes that are a treat to the palate. On the final day of my stay, the air conditioning in my room malfunctioned. The hotel staff promptly offered to move me to another room, demonstrating their commitment to guest satisfaction. However, as I was checking out soon, I chose to remain in my room. In summary, Mercure Jiefangbei is a wonderful hotel that combines a superb location with excellent amenities and attentive service. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel provides a welcoming and comfortable base for your Chongqing adventures.

Best location, including breakfast variety difference dishes everyday and afternoon tea with snacks. Receptionist are friendly and helpful and do their best to prioritise guests upon checking out we received goodie’s bags. Only the carpets hallway and floors need to be a deep cleaning/replace other than everything I love this hotel and would recommend friends and family.
