St George Beach Hotel & Spa Resort

Just spent a week here & I must say it's been really nice. The buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinners have a wide variety of food and we never had an issue with any of it. We dined at 2 of the a la carte restaurants which where served good food but book as soon as you arrive as spaces go quickly. The allocation of sunbeds is a good idea as you don't get anxious on not getting a sunbed and these are yours for the entire stay. There's plenty to eat & drink throughout the day, so you don't need to go anywhere. Our room was cleaned daily & to a good standard & the amenities replenished. If I have onr downside its that's the air con in the room only goes as low as 20, and personally we like it lower after a day of sunbathing. Apart from that we are looking to come back.

Just finished a wonderful stay at St. George’s- my only regret is we should have booked longer! Great staff throughout the hotel, particular mention to Margarita (Reservations and Front Office) and all the Reception team - you were all so helpful and professional! Of particular note is the sun lounger policy - you are allocated on arrival (there is a choice!) and they remain yours until the end of the holiday - I wish all hotels followed suit! Our grateful thanks to Irini (she’s a star!) and Christos who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the scheme. Good choice of restaurants and bars - again really good staff - too many to mention- although must thank Andreas whose experience, positivity and outstanding customer service was a highlight. Having stayed at the same time last year we decided to return. Our experience was just as good as the first time. Staff, food, cleanliness all wonderful. The sun bed allocation and pool towel system work very well The desserts are exceptional. We enjoyed our stays in the Shoga and route 66 restaurants but the food in the Drop in lunchtime restaurant was the best of all, we found The drinks are good for an AI but a special shout out to the Somelier at the wine bar, very knowledgeable and welcoming The cats are a treat, not pestering but friendly. Only thing I think would suggest is that a large sign is placed near the entrance to the grounds from the beach, we witnessed non residents wandering in and found a family in the main hotel, also a small child with his parent enjoying an ice cream - as it’s an adult only hotel, it was very noticeable

Great hotel 4 a la carte choices spotlessly clean great staff and good drinks. Really good quality buffet option as well. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a quality hotel. Amenities are everything you could want. Fantastic views and very spacious even when busy

Stayed 2nd ＞ 16th April . We had to change room to begin with having mistakenly gone for a side sea view ( awful view of other buildings and hotels supply access road mostly .Noisy ,and no sun at all . Avoid these ! ) . We were grateful the reception Mgr was able to move us across the corridor to a pool and sea view room , much better , but for more money ofc ) . However, it wasnt without its issues . plug-hole plunger kept getting stuck . Called maintenance first time , but found a mechanism under sink to reset it ourselves ongoing. Power kept tripping out , but reset ourselves from in room fuseboard . Worst of all , was the standard and consistency of room cleaning . Very poor indeed . We went days without teabags, stirrers ,cups not cleaned properly , mirrors not being cleaned , floors being swept/hoovered , just all very erratic , and not expected in 4 star premises . The lift new our room , never worked the whole of our stay . A few areas around corridors seemed to be under repair /unfinished . Food : We liked the options for lunch, and indeed the main lunch restaurant tended to have more choice than the dinner buffet restaurant , for some reason ! Main evening buffet was quite limited and cramped around the service areas , leading to queues if timed wrong . We tried the Asian , which was good . But the Route 66 , was just ok . Booking on the online app failed to work twice , i would advise booking with reception to be sure . Pool area is lovely , and we liked the reservation system , although we did notice a couple of arguments and agitated people , as some folk seemed to just do what they liked . Drinks : We noticed a downgrade in quality from our 2023 visit . 5 or 6 cocktails and not a little bit tipsy ...come on ... Beer(Keo) ok . restaurant wine , awful . Get wine from Smelie wine bar if poss, much better. Entertainment : Far worse than 2023 visit . The Duos in the inside bar , whilst ok , were a bit boring and repetitive . No get up and dance /audience participation stuff . , as we witnessed last time . Whilst outside , it was all samey /karaoke , and tribute acts of varying quality. What happened to the Greek night for example?? Mr Chico , the new entertainment guy seemed addicted to 90s novelty dance music ( think Barbie girl , youll get the idea) . Staff : Mostly friendly and efficient (majority now asian) but we missed the character of the likes of Stella from the top pool bar , who has sadly left . In summary . Overall ok , but sadly not as good as just 2 years ago .

The hotel is brilliant the hotel staff are very very friendly and the entertainment staff “chicco” are brilliant always very happy to help out and help with any problems the evening shows and the daily activities are great and always very busy with enthusiasm
