Hotel El Refugio

This hotel was amazing. The rooms were small but clean. There is no tv but none needed after a full day. There is a great view from the rooms with a nice porch and rockers. There is a rushing river in front and high cliffs across the way. The restaurant was very good and they source most of their food locally. There is also a free buffet breakfast. This is a relaxing hotel not close to town but they have a thermal hot spring to sit and soak. I sat in there a long time.

Un très bel hôtel, dans un lieu magnifique. L''établissement est propre, calme et le personnel est disponible et accueillant, comme on nous l'avais conseillé l'hôtel la maison d'Elise situé à Aréquipa. Nous recommandons cet établissement ++

Hemos escogido este hotel porque ya antes habíamos estado en La Maison d'Elise del mismo grupo hotelero en Arequipa, y nos había encantado. Ha sido un acierto total. El entorno es magnífico, en mitad de la naturaleza. En el mismo recinto hay cascadas, jardines, pasa un río y disponen de aguas termales naturales, así que te ahorras tener que visitar aguas termales públicas y masificadas. De hecho lo mejor ha sido la intimidad del baño termal privado, con vistas al río y al valle del Colca. La habitación y el baño eran amplios, con camas cómodas, y todo estaba muy limpio. El desayuno buffet muy variado y estaba rico. También hay una zona de juegos común: billar, futbolín, ping pong... Justo al lado del restaurante propio del hotel, que tiene una lumbre de fuego que calienta y da un toque rural a la cena.
