Hotel the Grand Chittor, Chittorgarh

Staying at the hotel currently, as part of a marriage group. Dirty table tops. Rude restaurant manager. Extremely poor service. Even a cup of tea takes hours, if at all it comes. Restaurant timings are strange. Nothing available before 7.30 am. No evening tea possible as it opens at 700 pm. No tea maker in room.

Manager was kind enough to give us a room with the fort view complimentary which otherwise costs about 500 extra. But service and behaviour of hotel staff was extremely unprofessional,unpleasant and rude. They are in a business of money making and not hospitality. Considering this is a soo called 4 star hotel! The service is not upto mark. Travelling with a 1 year old kid and even though baby milk and baby food is complimentary everywhere they decided to charge us for the milk. The bathroom was unhygienic and dirty and required me to clean it up before using it. The balcony is full of pigeon poop! The Grand Chittor hotel is not at all grand and chittorgarh requires a good decent and clean hotel which actually lives up to their star rating unlike this hotel Food is below average at best , they charged us 600 (4000 total amount paid for the room per night including bfast) for the room with breakfast and to our utter disappointment we were served raw idlis, stale chutney, tasteless sambar, oily bhaturas and bland aloo bondas, even the aloo parathas weren’t filled with aloo, avoid staying here if you’re travelling with a toddler because they just don’t accommodate kids requirements moreover their restaurant AC wasn’t working as well so we ended up rushing back to our rooms hungry drenched in sweat! Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever. Do not get misled by the reviews and ratings The bedsheets are torn, cutlery very dirty and unhygienic and red ants infested in the restaurant

We had a good stay at The Grand Chittor. The restaurant is a family restaurant so in the evening we had to find another place to have a drink, but in general we enjoyed. The breakfast was mostly Indian breakfast and mostly to spicy for me. However the fresh fruit and some toast made it good enough. Also the serving of Ms Devika was great!
