Very convenient for the town, shopping and restaurants.

The property and cleanliness was very good, however I’m not sure what constitutes service as there wasn’t any. No room cleaning or bed make up nor fresh towels…nothing. We tried calling for two fresh towels twice and emailed twice…sent to voicemail and no reply. The room was unbelievably hot and when we asked to have breakfast outside the cook was flustered and told us she already set the table inside. I would not recommend this site which was disappointing because it was adorable.

The Woolmarket House is a wonderful gem in the lovely town of Chipping Campden. We stayed in the Sezincote room and it was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It had all the amenities that make a stay delightful and a pleasure. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Sarah is a wonderful host as are her staff. I’d you are going to the Cotswolds, you’ll find no better place to stay than the Woolmarket House.

My friend and I stayed at the Woolmarket House for 4 nights in early April. The B&B is nicely located in the middle of lovely Chipping Campden with shopping and attractions located within easy walking distance. The rooms are comfortable, well maintained, clean and unique. Would recommend asking for specifics on individual room appointments as they are very different depending on the location within the house. For example one may have a view of the street and one may have a private garden. There was a nice cake and tea on arrival. There is no "front of house" or reception area. You are given a code to enter the main door inside a small alley and upon arrival will find your room key and directions inside. Breakfast is ordered the night before on a clipboard and may be enjoyed in the common breakfast room or privately. The delicious breakfasts were ample and well prepared. Michaels restaurant adjoins the property and is excellent. We ate there upon arrival for dinner and went back for lunch in the sunny alley another time. Everything we tried was delicious and the staff were very friendly. A negative was an experience involving laundry service. At the time of booking I inquired of Sarah (the owner) if there was laundry service in Chipping Campden. She said there was not, but she would be willing to do a load for 25 pounds, cash only. When we arrived we each gave her a bag of laundry (I had 6 small items) and she informed us that it would be 30 pounds. This felt a bit uncomfortable but we both agreed as to not make a fuss. The next morning when she returned the laundry (mine was stained with something blue) she said it would cost 35 pounds to have the laundry back. This left us both pretty annoyed. Also, on our last day Sarah asked us each individually to come to her office and bring our credit cards to "settle our bill". This was surprising as we had paid 50% at booking and the remaining balance 5 days prior to arrival. After over 30 minutes of confusing discussion where she kept maintaining that one or both of our cards had an outstanding balance we finally convinced her by showing our credit card charges listed, that we were paid in full. This also felt dishonest and took time away from our itinerary. Micheal had given us a car ride from the train station in Moreton-in-marsh on arrival for 25 pounds. At breakfast on the day we left she said it would be 30 pounds to take us back to the train. We said we would pay the 25 pounds each way as previously discussed with Michael. He was friendly and gave us a nice scenic tour through the country side on the way back to the train. A nice place in a lovely town. Just make sure the financial arrangements are clear!

What a gem of a bespoke B&B! Booked direct on the website which included an offer of prosecco in room, lovely to enjoy while relaxing in the rolltop bath! The accommodation truly blew me away, large comfortable double, tastefully decorated, overlooking the High street (there can be a little noise heard in the evening from restaurant below if patrons are loud but did not impact our enjoyment) warm and comfortable! Service was outstanding! They had a wonderful breakfast room which you need to book, we elected for breakfast in the room however, as there was a table and window seat. There was a good variety and choice and it was all cooked perfectly! Great location too! Made for a lovely weekend in the Cotswolds, would definately recommend and return.

We stayed here in June during our pre-wedding honeymoon. It is a great place in a great location. We liked that we could order our breakfast the night before and specify a time. We also had the choice of having it in our bedroom, the beautiful dining room or outside. We had it outside the second day because the weather was mild and we were under shelter from the rain. One minor complaint which I think applies to almost all the B&Bs we stayed at...I wish they had a USB plug in to charge the phone. These days everyone is using their phone for everything and we were hiking on the Cotswold Way so we needed to use an app on our phone to make sure we didn't miss a turn. It is cheap and easy to replace an outlet with one that includes a USB port.
