Premier Inn Chichester South (Gate Leisure Park)

房間隔音不太好，龍頭水比較小，房間還算大，周圍有shopping mall，吃飯方便

We have had a number of very satisfactory stays at this Premier Inn. This time we found our experience disappointing. On the positive side our check in was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and serviced. However, although it was booked for two people we only had towels for one. Also the toilet seat was obviously seriously defective and should have been fixed before the room was made available. Our biggest disappointment was breakfast. This is normally very good quality and excellent value. On this occasion we waited a long time to ‘be seated’ whilst the only member of staff gave lengthy tourist information to other guests. We gave up and seated ourselves and continued to be ignored. There were a number of deficiencies - no yoghurt or orange juice and the milk and cereal containers looked grimy and in need of cleaning. It was very much the case that the two staff in evidence in the hotel were multi tasking trying to serve breakfast, staff reception and service rooms and not succeeding.It looked like economies had been made at the expense of service.

The hotel is a 5 minute was from Chichester Station. The staff were very welcoming. They were very pleasant and informative. The room was what you expect from Premier Inn, the bed was very comfortable and bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The TV worked but I didn't use the Wi-fi. For one night it was a please stay and breakfast was very tasty and well cooked

The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and that is the good part. We ordered the meal deal, when booking in we had to give the receptionist a time for our evening meal and a time for breakfast. Upon arrived for the evening meal there weren't any tables so we had to wait until someone had finished before a table could be set up for us. We waited for about 5 minutes then someone had finished their meal and we could be seated. We then waited 42 minutes before a waitress came and took our order, it was another 1 hour 10 minutes before we received our starter. Then once we had finished we then had to wait another 40 minutes to get our mains. The waitress put my meal on the table and walked off because another member of staff had called her. I didn't have any cutlery and I tried to call her but she just carried on going, it seems that a guest had forgotten what room she was in so the two staff went with her and tried her key card on all of the doors on that floor to find her room, in the meantime i had to search other tables to find some cutlery. It turned out that there were only these two members of staff and a chef were the only staff present that evening. The breakfast was just as bad. We had to queue up at our allotted time and the couple in front of us were told that there weren't any tables so they had to stand to one side side, they then offered us a "low" table (coffee table) for us to sit and eat a cooked breakfast off! Both us and the other couple eventually got seated. I went to get some orange juice, no orange juice, they had run out, so I went to get a coffee and a tea, only one mug left. I asked a member of staff and he went off to get some, 10 minutes later I was still waiting so I gave up. The other couple that were in front of us ordered their cooked breakfast then we ordered ours. I went to get cereal and as I sat down my partner said, the mugs have arrived so I was able to go and get a hot drink. The only cold drinks on offer were apple juice or cranberry juice. We then waited for about 45 minutes for our cooked breakfast to arrive. The other couple were still waiting but ours arrived before theirs. I think the management need to seriously look at the problems with the restaurant, we weren't the only ones that were complaining about the wait. We have visited this location before and it was fine but this time the restaurant service was dire.

Great location, plenty of parking, great on site restaurant the evening meal was lovely, breakfast was served and not a buffet style which I prefer, however there were other restaurants close by. Nice clean room, comfy bed, staff were very helpful & friendly. Quiet hotel, was able to get a good nights rest.

The thing I like about Premier Inn is the consistency, but sadly on this occasion I was left underwhelmed. The hotel itself is a good location and easy to find, although the flipside of being on the retail park is that parking at weekends can be a real problem. The room was what you would expect and I was right at the end of the corridor overlooking the dual carriageway. Not a problem though as the triple glazing shut out all noise. Aircon unit worked well so I had a comfy night sleep. Breakfast was hugely disappointing. Sausages or lukewarm, mushrooms cold, and no baked beans. The service wasn’t good either, staff just weren’t engaging and not the warm welcome or smiles I’ve come to expect. Not sure I would use again.
