A little piece of heaven! The room was very comfortable, well designed and with lovely nautical features throughout. On arrival, parking was excellent, friendly helpful staff, within minutes we were sat by the window, overlooking the fast flowing river, being entertained by the wildlife whilst enjoying a well earned drink after a nearly three hour drive! Location was perfect, breakfast, a joy! A birthday treat for my special girl which couldn't of been better, we will return.

Five of us travelled down from the North East for a two night stay, incorporating the races. Greeted by an extremely friendly chap on reception who checked us in quickly. Rooms were lovely and well equipped. Bar and outside terrace were excellent, as was the ale! Perfect base to explore Chester and an ideal walk to the races via a scenic river route. Free parking for guests a huge plus too. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return next summer.

Such a wonderful place to visit. The warm welcome you receive gives you a “hug” straight away. The rooms a fab. Valeted every day, which was great. The food here is lovely, and breakfast is fantastic. The attention to detail from their staff is wonderful. My friend and I had a family crisis, whilst we were there. We couldn’t have been treated any better. So helpful and understanding. Their care was wonderful. So appreciated, and made an aweful situation bearable. So all in all, if you are thinking of visiting, you will love it here. It’s set on the river Dee, so a lovely view from the restaurant. Easy to stroll into Chester…which is such an interesting city. Full of history. We are so grateful for your kindness. Lynda and Lynn, no 4 and 5

Brilliant location, great staff. Perfect for visit to Chester. Fantastic setting. Food quality superb, particularly breakfast where the staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend.

A week away to visit Chester. Property is very conveniently situated on the River Dee. City centre approx. 5-10 minutes walk away either through the beautiful park behind the property or along the river which has a lovely atmosphere. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom. Food was good and served in the bar which was very popular. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Chester due to its convenience .

I treated my daughter for a stay. Fab location and that is what you are paying for. Rooms had nice decor but needed a bit of TLC as mouldy sealant in shower and broken toilet roll holder.Cobbwebs in the room where not been clean properly. There was a fan provided as the room was extremely hot. Service in the bar was very poor. We had breakfast in the bar and had to ask twice for things to be refilled then to be stood there for over 5 minutes waiting.
