Quality Inn Chesapeake

We weren't actually able to stay at this hotel because the woman working the front desk was very rude and combative, right off the bat, when we were trying to check in. I booked through a third-party and the credit card of the third party was being declined but, initially, the woman at the front desk just kept saying that my credit card was declined and that I had to figure it out. Even though I showed her that my credit card was not declined and the transaction had already gone through. The woman at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful and told me that I had to figure it out and then proceeded to try to help the customer behind me while I was still standing there trying to be helped and understand the situation. After I went back outside to call the third-party provider to see what I could do, the woman at the front desk called me and said that the card finally went through. When we came back in to check in (or at least we thought to check in), she proceeded to tell us that we could find somewhere else to stay because they don't let rude people stay at their hotel and that they only had two rooms left and would have them rented within the hour and that they didn't need our business. Very poor customer service and very rude employees. The service was on par with the the standard of hotel that this is....POOR.

Beautiful rooms and awesome location. Came here to visit Rivers ****** and the VA and this is one of the best deals around. I've stayed at several hotels in America and this was definitely one of the nicer ones. Will return. The GM Mr Naidoo is super friendly.

Not professionalI it was pretty decent placed, no it wasn’t. The house service was good. the managers were unprofessional they said that a function was coming that didn’t happen.I have seen top knock hotels and I’ve seen not so decent.hotels. 😕😕 A bit rough spot.

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Great customer service, was very friendly to my son & I. Right by a lot of different food places. Quiet and affordable! Don’t walk but run to Quality inn for your next stay. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at 😊

Careful! This is an older motel in a not-so-great neighborhood. The room was adequate, the bed was fine, the hot water was good, the AC was good. Wifi was good. TV seemed good. The bathroom was updated not too long ago. There was a desk and chair, which I always look for. It is Spartan. Breakfast was OK, not bad really. They were evidently in the process of replacing all the carpets. The bare floors really made the place look rundown, perhaps unfairly. Big drawback for many: there is no elevator, yet there are three floors. My room was on the third floor. At least the guy at the desk carried up my heaviest bag. If you don't care about the elevator, it is actually a good value for the money.

I had concerns when I walked into the lobby and saw signs announcing a renovation in process. There was no mention of this on the Quality Inn reservation site. When we walked into the room, I noticed that while the room was not undergoing renovation, the original king size bed had been converted to a full size mattress. The only other problem was the window blinds, which was missing a section of slats, and would not lower to the window sill. The bath towels we shoved in the windowsill helped shade the lights from the Waffle House on our side of the parking lot.

This hotel and it’s staff need to be investigated by Choice Hotels Corporate. I say this because ; 1 The place is disgustingly filthy. 2 The amenities in my room we’re broken, and substandard. 3. The door to the room took five fresh keys to even unlock. 4. The place reeked of ********* especially in the lobby. Now for the staff ; 1. Their appearance was below casual almost unkempt. 2. Their professionalism was very substandard. 3. I accidentally left my iPad in my room ( 207 ) when I checked out. Didn’t realize it until I was unpacking at home the following morning. I know it was there in the hotel as late as 2:08 pm on 3/2/2023 because it pinged and my gps recorded it. I checked out 3/2/2023 at 4:58 am . I reported it missing to Candace at the front desk at 9:26 am on Fri 3/3/2023… Still she hasn’t called me back at 11:55 am.3/3/2023

When I booked this hotel, I was not advised that it was being remodeled. When I arrived I was told I could not get my money back since I had not canceled in time. The place was barely livable. The phone in the room did not work. The alarm clock/radio/alarm did not work. The hot food was basically just coffee and a waffle. There were other High Carb cold choices available, cereal, a few fruits, yogurt, canned juices in a large pitcher, and oatmeal. I had requested a Handicapped accessible room with a king bed. What I got was a regular room, no handicapped options, and a queen bed. If my wife had accompanied me, as planned, I would have had to find another place to stay, but as a Sailor, I could rough it for one night - barely. ******* should have been aware of the condition of the motel and warned me. I think the price was too high for the value received. If you are staying here, the price on ******* and Kyack does not include all of the taxes and fees, that was an additional $20+.

Absolutely a terrible experience that’s far from any quality standards. The entire place smells cigarette smoke, the room is dark, the furniture old and small. The bed is small and not comfortable at all. The towels and sheets even if you can tell they were washed are too old and yellow. Bathroom is a nightmare. Breakfast has just a few options and the staff is just ok. Big no no.
