"Wonderful bed and breakfast. We used it as a stop over on our drive from Cherbourg to southern France. Liked it so much we booked it for our journey home. Comfortable, clean accommodation. Quirky rooms, modern bathrooms (carved stone sinks). One of our rooms had a small terrace and beautiful freestanding bath tub. Our 17 yo daughter was provided with a comfortable camp bed. Breakfast was good, dinner was superb. Daughter pre-booked lasagne and loved it. My husband and I had steak. Delicious. Also nicest shrimp cocktail we've ever tasted. All prepared and served by the lovely Shelley. Would highly recommend staying and eating here. "

"A Wonderful Evening at Chambres D’Hôtes La Joyeuse We had dinner at Chambres D’Hôtes La Joyeuse last night, and what a lovely experience it was. From the moment we arrived, Marjan and her husband greeted us at the door with such warmth that we felt welcome right away. The room we were in had a cozy, inviting atmosphere exactly the kind of place where you just feel comfortable settling in for a good meal. And the food… absolutely fantastic. Every dish was full of flavour, and the Christmas-inspired touches made everything feel extra special. The flavours were rich, comforting, and honestly just stunning. Overall, it was a really delightful evening, and definitely great value for money. A wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed, delicious dinner . We will be happily go back again & again !"

The room was ground floor, with a small terrace adjacent to the small outdoor space. There were 2 electric car chargers. The breakfast was good quality continental. We would stay again"

"Chavignol is just down the hill from Sancerre center ,,, we will ALWAYS stay at Hotel Restaurant Famille Bourgeois - charming location, winery just yards from the hotel / restaurant - restaurant was 5-stars!! A wonderful fromagerie just across the street, and dining there is a MUST!!! Of all our incredible meals during our time in France this was the BEST!!! Excellent, professional and friendly service ,,, Perfect place to enjoy!!"

"Odotamme kansleriin oli täydellinen unelma. Joka huone ja kadulla on viehätys, joka saa paremman ja paremman kuin teet tien läpi kotona. Meitä hoidettiin aperitiivina patio noin kello 4 ja kaunis klassinen aamiainen aamulla. Koirat ovat myös ilo. Me todella emme koskaan unohda tätä kokemusta, ja emäntä ei voi kiittää tarpeeksi. Voisin sanoa miljoona asiaa siitä, kuinka paljon me rakasti tätä paikkaa, mutta katso itse ei vain kaikissa kauniissa kuvissa, mutta varaa jäädä nähdä tämä mestariteos henkilökohtaisesti!"
